Hi everyone; I'm so sorry I've not been around much lately. The people at the farm have been having a worrying time, and I've been helping out there as much as I can - lots of things going on that have all got a bit too much for them. I'm hoping that things will calm down there over the next day or two, and I should be back to whatever counts for normal here! Things are never less than hectic lately, and I could do with retreating to a quiet place!

I still haven't done the update but hope to put that right asap, probably tomorrow morning.

As for the woolly stuff, I did manage half a square last night but, as I didn't sit down until almost 10pm, my hook moved exceedingly slowly!

I keep meaning to try and work my time out better but, no sooner do I tick a job off my 'to-do' list, another one jumps on to it, so I've decided that it's not going to happen and that, for now, I am just going with the flow.

I hope all of you with worries and anxieties are managing to take a breather from it all.

Shaz - I think Seakay's advice about an answerphone is excellent, and will let you deal with things in your own time, when you've had a chance to think.

Maytaurus - I think about you a lot.

Chalky - hope you are less jet-lagged these days!

Well, DH has just come back and has decided to pressure-wash the wall right outside my office; he's closed the shutters (on a beautiful sunny day) and plunged me into noisy darkness; they just don't think, do they?

Will catch up with you all as soon as I can.

    Hello all

Been MIA again for a few days been up to the eyes in it with Mum, everything has been going wrong for her the last few days...
First off her TV broke down so we took it back to MAKRO it was still in its 2 year warranty period, so no probs they exchanged it...
Next day her microwave broke down not unexpected it was sooo old, off we went again to MAKRO and got her a new one...
Next day(yesterday) she rang up to say her cooker had blown up:eek: round we go again, OH tested it all out and could'nt find anything wrong with it so we put a Pizza in, it cooked ok so that was her tea sorted...
We came home sat down to watch TV and fell asleep on the sofa:rotfl:

mrs-moneypenny - I read somewhere that the fabric type shower curtains make good liners for sponge bags, handbag's and leaky wellies all sorts of things,
kathy - typical you get yourself sorted and all comfy cosy and well you know the rest... yes they just don't think :)
f1 - do you remember the old Survivors? shown in the 70's I treated myself to the whole 3 series boxed set from Amazon and have really enjoyed watching it...... showing my age again ;)
shaz - an answerphone is a good idea, I hope your wrist is getting better now
anakat - I do corner to corner with the cat blankets I find it a lot easier to get the right size that way, as needles/yarn/tension can all make a difference to finished size's
psso - good news about the job, bad news about the feet but as you say nice warm foot soak works wonders :D
chalky - ooo what a handsome chap, who's hopping around in one slipper then?:rotfl:
    jean - hope you ok
    maytaurus - thinking of you

I must remember to do my update can't remember when I last posted it.
I've been doing IS Hats for the last few days, also picked up the Hugg boots again and did a bit more, had to put them away for a bit as it started my wrist aching again

Off to sort something to eat now so TTFN

josh dosent seem to be able to save up to buy trainers, any money he has he spends. seen some trainers on ebay in his size, starting at £30 plus £5.50 so fingers crossed no other big footed people on ebay tonight. cant bear him staring college with ripped scruffy trainers and wet feet when it rains.
isom i know what you mean about being home alot, feel like i've hibernated sometimes lol
