Don't know if this will help, I knit my squares corner to corner.
    DK yarn size 4mm/uk8 needles
Cast on 3sts, increase 1st at begining of every row until a side measures 6inches.
Then decrease 1st at the begining of every row till 3sts remain K3tog.
This should give you a 6inch square :D

OK, my first square completed although it's come out a tinsey bit larger than 6 inches - probably just over 6.25.
How do you get your corner to be square? My first corner (where the 3 stitches start is slightly flat?
By the way, I really like knitting from the corner like this, it seems to produce a more "solid" square than knitting along the edge.

6.25 is pretty good, every body has a slightly different tension. So glad you are enjoying the knitting! Try increasing to 1 stitch less.

Pssso, love the blankets and the dino

isom Good luck at the dentist

Roamin glad everything is going well

Chalky. pretty cushion, the doll’s house is a work in progress; this is the matriarch’s room

SK I think the kitten would be fine with the piggies if they are introduced carefully, and the girls are safe in their cage till they are used to each other. One of our previous cats was best friends with nextdoor’s rabbit, they used to sit in the rabbit run together.

Off to pick up cat food from Pets-at-home which just happens to be almost next door to Hobbycraft :rotfl:

    ((hugs)) to all
  • annakat, love the dolls house, and how convenient hobbycraft been near pet shop lol, have a squeeze of the wool from me, and report back what you've rescued lol
