Hello to one and all --- Have not had a chance to catch up on all the natter but lots of love to you all and special gentle thoughts to those dealing with the bumps in life right now!!
Well we arrived home at about 8.00 a.m after a night flight, so by eleven I had to give in, give the washing machine a break and go to sleep for a couple of hours. Still feel cotton woolly but am making a determined effort to finish all the charity things I have on the go at the moment. I even have some ready if I wake up in the middle of the night and think its morning!!!!!
I always carry a notebook when I am travelling and there are 2 whole pages on my "TO DO" list so it is going to be no more dallying but get on!! I wonder how long that will last-- I can feel another pyjama day coming on!!
Well I will carry on now making the strings for the little purses. I am going to but some hair clips and pop in a set in each little bag. I am sure they will be great for either Loving Hands or Operation Christmas Child.
Will pop back tomorrow and let you know how the long sleep went!! I could only manage home made soup from freezer dredging for tea. Going to get the sausages out for tomorrowxxTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
Good to have you back, Chalky, but please get some proper rest!

maytaurus I do hope friday goes as planned, just remember your mum never really leaves you. Hugs.
Shaz good to hear your wrist is a little better. I just don't know what to say about your boys. There will be light at the end of the tunnel eventually I'm sure.
Chalky it's so nice to have you back!
ISOM I'm left handed and just learned how to do things with my right hand, when I was four and wanted to knit like mum she stood behind me and moved my hands. The rest came more gradually of course. You surely don't mean you have to be crb checked to teach someone to knit?! When my boys were in primary school (a long time ago) I went along to the craft lessons and taught groups to knit and crochet, wonder if they still do it.
mioliere hoping things are a little less hectic for you and you can get some 'me' time.
Thinking of all of you who are poorly or looking after poorlies, take lots of hugs, I have nearly as many as the stash.

Morning all...went to work then came back as two visits cancelled so can finish an assessment at home, without interruptions - bliss!!
Kinsey where work is concerned and you are working with children people do have to be CRB checked to check, as far as possible, that they are safe to work with children and tbh I wouldnt have it any other way. One thing Ive learned is that the "bad people" often dont look like bad people so best to be as safe as possible me thinks...It doesent take long to do a crb check and while its a bit of a faff its worth it!
May thinking of you my lovely and praying that Friday is a celebration of mums life...will continue to ask for strength on your behalf...
socky hang in there and remember "this too shall pass"....lots of my kids getting results today...feel nervous for them
chalky lovely to have you back...have fun with the washing! Mum bringing stuff from her flat in the hope it will sell so my flat is packed...thankfully we have lovely neighbors who have offered a dry shed so that will help for the dont need now stuff!
miol sounds busy there too!
Ok lovelies on to work! big hugs!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
i managed to ring josh, and he has achieved an A in art, G in maths, and entry level in cooking, science and english, not the greatest results, but at least he tried on most except maths, when he knew he was having a bad day

Hello all
Just thought I'd pop in and give you an update on the Suggs household....
Hospital appointment went well yesterday Consultant said OH's scar healing well and the swelling gone down from extractions some stitches still there but they will disolve away. So all in all not a bad day OH has to ring his MacMillan nuirses and tell them he is having treatment then appt can be made for mask.
Had my eyes tested this morning and was told I have the start of cataracts.....great don't need any more at the mo

chalky - welcome back we missed you, have been reading your b**g ooo I am sooo envious all those beautiful places I bet you had a most wonderfully memorable time
shaz - well done Josh. Hope your wrist gets better soon, good for you with the Bank of Mum closure
ISOM/kinsey - we had to have a CRB check when DS2/DIL adopted our little grandson, it was because we would be baby-sitting, its a thing thats done as the norm now I think
trifles - did you manage to find any patterns? I had a look through mine but I only have childrens v-neck jumpers no adult ones
Maytaurus - It will be a difficult and very emotional day for you tomorrow and I just wanted to say I will be thinking of you all, chin up and god bless x
Not done much knitting well not big things anyway just IS Hats, nice to get back to them really
Off to start Dinner now so enjoy your evenings all
