Hi everyone
Shaz - You really do have such a lot on your plate at the moment, so I hope that something good happens to you soon - especially getting that bungalow.
ISOM - hope you and your mum are a lot better now. As for the renovations here, they really are more or less finished, bar a few cosmetic bits that can be done as and when. I'm working on a post for my blog which will have a lot of photos but, as with everything else, I'm struggling to find the time to finish it.
I have finally posted photos from our neighbours' wedding on my blog. It's not the one that is here on my 'homepage' for the update spreadsheet. I can only have one homepage on here, so I can't add it to that one, and I'm not sure if we're allowed to post direct links on here. Are you all following or have you dozed off? I've confused myself there!
Jean - slow down. I can't believe how much you achieve, and I really hope that you take time out to simply breathe now and again!
Tootifrooti - I honestly think that your list of WIPs is actually longer than mine!
PSSO - Hows little J?
Pippa - how are things with OH?
Well, today I get back to fighting the red tape. Believe it or not, I still have three ongoing battles in progress, but I have decided that today is the day I take things up a notch. I am doing so much chasing up and it's using up such a lot of my time that I might as well be on the payroll of the French civil service!
Will work on the update later on today.

I am taking time to breath now and again. I just want to get back into the swing of things and at present just seem to be messing about doing dotty stuff. I really do hope to make it into the sweatshop this week...there I have said it so I shall have to attempt it now.
Have a great day, will call back in later

Morning all - firstly sorry I didnt update only a few bits and completely forgot will add it to next week
kathy - I dont know how you cope with all that sorting of authorities - having worked in offices am used to "fighting fires" but there is only so much I can cope with! I do like getting my teeth into a good "sort" dont think Im as good as i used to be - so I admire you my patience would have gone by now though - look after yourself xxx
jean - dont you dare stay in that sweatshop too long! I told you we are coming for you ...... - on a serious note I think I understand what you mean about getting back to normal - its for your own "sanity" if thats the right word - i know what i mean i hate writing sometimes it never sounds how I would "speak" it - big hugs and look after yourself xxx
sock-knitter - Im still in total disbelief over the boys problems - I cant believe that this can go on when they are meant to be in "assisted living" - disgusting! - I hope something is done about the other lad - but then will it just lead to more problems for your son? - I can see now why he was getting angry with you - the other lad was probably applying pressure (not an excuse to be horrible to you though) - I hope it calms down soon - just keep thinking of your new home - its going to be great xxx
Personally I think the Olympic blanket was jean / chalky / mrs twins - the three of them are partners there :rotfl::rotfl:
Naughty me made some money and spent a little last night on ebay - patterns and some "knitting in lace" (we shall see it may just end up thrown across the floor!)
Oh I have to tell you this last night I saw an Alan Dart Pattern go for 56.00 GBP - yes you saw that correctly 56.00! - just one pattern! good for the seller mind you .............. if anyone has one in their cupboard it was like Muffin the Mule
Must get on with some jobs - more sorting
Hugs to all xxxDebt Diary: Im not going to be an Ostrich anymore -LBM - 16/1/12 /0 -
Good morning to one and all!
Wow! What a blanket -- I will pass the blame on ---- I think it is Dpixie and that's why we have not heard from her!!!
I am SERIOUSLY trying not to let Aussie news affect or stress me ( So not working!!) We had a message on Facebook this morning to say DD2's handbag was stolen last night. By the sounds cards, passport, some money, phone etc etc!!!!!!!!
I have texted her phone and got an answer to say they were sorry and were going to pass it in!!! Where I do not know! How many Police Stations in Brisbane must there be? I pleaded to their better? nature and asked them to text me where they were going to hand it in but no more contact! Odd behaviour and I don't think there is a chance!
So a hard lesson-- to keep a closer eye on your bag!!! And quite a lot of expensive sorting toboot!!
Oz seems a long way away right now!!!!!Try and do a good deed every day.0 -
chalky - just lurked and saw your message - am so sorry to hear DDs news - and how awful that the "oh so sticky fingers" replied that they would hand it in!
similar thing happened in our office - work mobile phone was stolen when we realised it was missing we phoned it and in 2 hours it had changed hands a dozen times - to get it back my boss paid - yes paid the lad for it as he had paid someone else for it!!!!!
I know its easy for us to say dont worry but it must be difficult - then there is the expense - ive just had a thought - this wouldnt be the mobile phone that you had all the bother having to still pay for while she was away - If im right you need to contact the mobile providers they can switch it off - then she is not paying for calls - Im wondering if they offer some sort of replacement service where they will issue a phone over there???? bit like the insurance adverts and people getting their cards and money etc flown out to them ???
Just a thought I might be barking up the wrong tree
Hope you get it sorted soon - but if you need to chat anything over let us know - take care xxxxDebt Diary: Im not going to be an Ostrich anymore -LBM - 16/1/12 /0 -
F1 -- You are so lovely and so thoughtful -- Thank you so much. She managed to get that UK one on a tariff of £5 a month. No it is an Aussie one! She has had it blocked!
Now just to add interest to our day!!!! DMIL has just phoned in a terrible panic to say she has lost her purse!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She went on the coach yesterday from Newton Abbot to Wolverhampton and somehow or other her purse has gone missing! And she loves to squirrel quite a bit away in it!! So now we feel the filling in the generation gap sandwich -- Worry from above and worry from below!Try and do a good deed every day.0 -
chalky, so sorry to hear about your dd and dmil, what a worrying stressful time, (((hugs)))
