    Hi everyone

Jean - where did the week go? I ask myself that every week; it just whizzes by, doesn't it? I seem to be getting busier and busier lately, and it's really hard to find time just to stand and stare! My online work is really taking off, though, so I'm not complaining - I just wish there were more hours in the day, and days in the week. I'm sure you'll get your cake cases done today! I love your flowers, by the way - they're very satisfying to do, aren't they, because they don't take long and you can use loads of different colours.

Chalky - you'll be enjoying the 'blues', no doubt!

Tootifrooti - great to hear from you! Hope life is treating you well.

ISOM - so sorry to hear about work trouble.

    Shaz - thinking of you.

Well, last night I actually sat down long enough to do a complete square, so that's progress! I must go through my WIPs, though. I keep promising myself I'll have a finishing-off session, but I never get round to it, so perhaps this weekend I will.

Anyway, the weather here is gorgeous - really sunny and warm. Hope it is for everyone else.

Oh mrs moneypenny -Yippee, summer`s coming on Tuesday is it ? About time too. We get one day of sunshine and two weeks of cloud, strong winds, drizzle or even rain. It`s like that today, not very nice.
End of July nearly and on the slippery countdown to Christmas. Mind you SOMEONE here will be looking forward to December coming anyway, won`t you Chalky?

You must have had a premonition did you, starting on a blue one? I did the same, did a blue one first then a pink one just in case. You`ll have fun planning how you are going to spoil this little Gilberto. If you need any lessons on being a grandma just shout out, those of us in grannyland will keep you right. Main thing is keep those arms well exercised so that they can give lots of cuddles.

Roamin - love those pretty flowers, might have a go at them too. Hope your machine is doing as it`s told and producing loads of cake cases.

Kathy - lots of online work means lots of pennies to spend on wool when you eventually make it back to the UK.

tootifrooti - half finished projects are all too common here. When the butterfly in me takes over I just have to flit from one thing to another, abandoning current item until the Finishing Fairy comes for a wee holiday and does it for me.

Pippa - hope you and DH are OK ?

Better go and have some lunch and then do something productive, trouble is I don`t know where to start.
    Back later.

  • I am giving myself the remainder of the afternoon off..........might do a bit of sewing up
managed cakes and cases........so I will treat the knitting machine to a clean, polish and oil over the weekend and perhaps manage something a bit more taxing next week (or not)

Hello all fingers crossed the puter is back to "normal"

pippa - thinking of you and OH - xxx

chalky - wonderful news - ooo a blue one - I can feel your excitement from here - big hugs to you all xxxx

isom - i was so sorry to hear about trouble a brewing at work - keep smiling hon - we are all here for you big hugs - package in post to you today xx

kathy - you really put me to shame always so busy - dont forget to rest every now and then we dont want you laid up xxxx

roamin - big hugs as always - the cupcakes and flowers are wonderful - you are so very clever and patient xxx

mrs m - there must be something in the air - we too are having a blitz (dont talk about the ironing though however much I promise ...... iykwim!) but not as organised as you - we seem to be flitting from one room to another - like i said to kathy dont forget to rest every now and then though xxxx

psso - does DD not know you dont need wool BUT you want some - I know exactly what you mean - Im missing loads of colours - MIL is always moaning at me that I have too much (not as much as some may have I have to say :rotfl:) but Im always looking for a colour I dont have - actually last few days been fidgeting for a fix - big hugs xxxx

tooti-fruti - lovely to see you again - welcome back xxx the LH challenges are great lots of little bits (good for my la la head!) xx

We are on a bit of an ebay spree at the moment - clearing out and making some always needed money - sadly I decided the knitting machine really was not for me (when i brought it second hand of course i did not realise you could get DK/chunky machines as well) my friend got hold of a 4 ply one and as you know me and 4ply dont mix plus I really miss not sitting with my needles even though it takes me ages to do something - so that has been listed am also selling three storage boxes full of my mums card making bits and bobs and will probably be clearing some of mine - it takes ages but we are getting there and the money is always appreciated - I also have another whim that i would like a dolls house so OH said yes I could have one (probably a second hand one) but I had to slim my bin first (iykwim)! - I did say we wont mention "his" tools and car bits - anyone else got a hubby like that ??????

Right off to do some more
Tenko update for Pippa (?) - they are on the final series and they are also showing the few one offs they did like the reunion episode as well so about another week of it xx

A blitzing here i come xxx
