that link ISOM for the Ray of Hope hat.
Shaz - please don't go onto other threads...........stay here where you know its lovely, F! and Chalky had bad experiences of other threads. I hope you are keeping occupied lots of things to do and that will help take your mind of the "empty nest' syndrome. Could you perhaps volunteer to assist some organisation - which would take up part of your day?
PippaS. Bloomin Car! (I would swear but it would get pulled), that was the very LAST thing you needed! Sending love and squishy cuddles for you and DH, for the weeks ahead.
CHALKY - I hold you responsible (sic) you are needing shot.....I have now started to make little crochet flowers in all sorts of size yarn and hooks and its becoming a bit of an obsession....s'pose that the next trick will be trying to join them all up together........
Failing on the knitting machine, yesterday tried a really simple bit of casting on and knitting and it just all went to spaghetti! That will be that brain cell still on it's holidays - wish it would come back and let me concentrate a wee bit.
Sun shine today so I am keeping well out of it.......my whole face is in the process of peeling after an hour outside in CLOUD last week......nobody warned me of that one- so I am slapping cream on at every opportunity!
Will pop back in when I finish the fight with the crochet flowers and the knitting machine, till then you all have a GREAT DAY

I WON.............the knitting machine lost...........it obviously didn't want to do cupcakes and cupcake cases (can't say I blame it)........BUT IT DID WANT TO DO
SNOWMEN AND SNOWWOMEN, so July is the new December. I really was beginning to get a tad truculent with it, when all the time it just wanted to make something else PHEW thank goodness for that eh? So I shall continue with the snow peeps for a few days till I get a box full then see if we can try again with the blessed cupcakes.
Hope Mrs Moneypenny finds her way out of the tip that was previously her bedroom before tea time or we will have to send in the troops with dinner for her.
Off for my dinner now, will pop back a bit later. OH Kinsey did you finish those wee converse trainers? I have so nearly given them up as a bad job...they are in the bottom of the bag awaiting my next bout of cussedness.......I will do them one day.The Hooligan Wooligan – age 9¾

Hello one and all --- Lots of love to you all -- Hope life is a little bit calmer all around. Some up and down days lately!
I have decided whilst we are on the subject that there are definite "ups and downs" to having a butterfly mind and a butterfly approach to woolly adventures.
Now I totally believe it is refreshing to have a few projects on the go -- You know a change is as good as a reat and all theat. If I stay away from my hooking too long I get withdrawal symptoms!
But. But,But,But and a million times but. Why do I need to feel that all my projects should be done and dusted when I am going away. It is just like the Peter Kay sketch of someone hoovering in the middle of the night so that the house looks great when you come home! Actually I do that too! Well not in the middle of the night but before I go.:rotfl:
So today I have managed to complete Lappy2 ( Pictures on Blog!)
Finished 2 strings of bunting -- only 50 pennants to each string!:eek:
Now I am sewing up a Lappy just for me or maybe ( after tomorrow) for an expected little one.It is in soft powdery blue shades and I am so enjoying making it. I was needing one last square but had run out of wool and as often happens luck was on my side when a friend provided exactly the square I needed. Now I just need to do the border!
Then I am going to pack away my other WIP's and not look at them again until after the 23rd Aug!
Well I am sending lots of gentle thoughts to you all as evryone could probably do with one!!!Try and do a good deed every day.0 -

Hiya toots, long time no see so welcome back.
LH challenge went up on Sunday.
http://lovinghands.freeforums.org/autumn-challenges-24-7-to-22-10-2011-t5631.html
I`m sure you`ll find something there to do.
Mrs moneypenny - if you`ve gutted your bedroom can you come and do mine ? Pretty please? My kettle is always boiling and I can provide cake too.:D I always seem to get sidetracked when I try to do it. You know.....come across odd patterns and go to put them in the box -ooh haven`t done that one for a while,I`ll just set it to one side and put it on the to do list and THERE`s the one I thought I`d lost etc etc. One day I WILL have a tidy bedroom/house/life. But then it will probably be boring.;)
Went shopping in the next town today, DD wanted a new pair of sneakers. Told her we`d pop along to the woolshop next. DD said `I thought you said you don`t need any more wool for a while`
Reply to that one was - I don`t NEED any more wool really but I WANT specific colours so we`re going to the wool shop.
Well, I`m so nearly finished my crochet project, and I have lots of cream wool to use so had to buy some chocolate brown and milky coffee coloured to go with it.
Have to do some little bits and pieces first, geezer squares need a top up and then I`ll get cracking again. I feel a bit of an addiction coming on - who`d have thought I would be saying that about crochet  Blimey.
Away to get the horlicks and do a few more trebles before bed.
