Loving Hands is a charity you can send items to, ditto Christmas child etc
    I give knitted items to:
LEWIS S TRUST CHARITY FURNITURE SHOP
    13A, CLIFTON STREET
    CARDIFF,
    SOUTH GLAMORGAN
    CF24 1PX
because they are local to me and I know that they send a truck over to Romania twice a year to an orphanage that they sponsor, and they also take over items for a children's home.

    Bonnie Babies
Sends premature baby outfits and blankets to special care baby units around the UK and to parents who need support.
    The Baby Pack Project

Hi everyone - we're back from our lovely evening away. A little bit hungover but nothing that a good snooze on the sofa didn't put right! We had a great barbecue last night, with plenty of lovely local wine, then woke up to a cooked breakfast on the terrace, so we've been thoroughly spoilt. It was quite an international gathering, too, with a mixture of French and British, plus a Danish family who live near our friends. They were fluent in all three languages, too. I crocheted on the way there but just couldn't get my head to work properly on the way back!

Shaz - I can't believe what you're being put through. The aggression and violence are really worrying and, for that reason alone, they should be doing a lot more. Let's hope the phone calls get some results.

Glicky - a very warm welcome to you. I see the girls have filled you in with all the info you need. I do hope you enjoy it here. It is a bit quieter than usual here at the moment but that's probably because the schools are on holiday and people are a lot busier in their gardens, too! If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Chalky - amazing photos on FB and your blog! I'm seriously impressed by your DH!

Well, I suppose I'd better think of something to do for dinner - not that I feel much like cooking!
