Hello all, and a belated welcome to Marbella!
1 cat blanket
ISOM - well done on a good start to the diet - if you would like an exercise buddy when you come to swimming/life guard training call on me. I can swim and should definitely exercise more and water stuff is good for me as a little less pressure on feet etc.
Socky - sudden availability of flats marellous news - hope 2nd one works out too. Sure you have looked into it all properly but as DLA is not income or savings related are you sure that having it rules out other benefits? Just a thought. Best of luck with it all anyway and hope that the boys having more independence means an easier time for all of you.
Mioliere - loved the descriptions of the wedding celebrations. Sound exhausting but huge fun!
Greetings and (((hugs))) to all. I'm a bit quieter than usual but still catch up when I can. Hopeing current exhaustion etc is a sign that new meds are having an effect on the nasties and that the nasties are fighting back, but that this stage will pass and I'll see some improvement at some point.0 -

HI everyone, and welcome to Oldtractor, We're glad to have you on board! Thanks to Mrs Moneypenny for filling you in on what we do! If you have any questions, please feel free to ask; we're always glad to help.
ISOM - hope the migraines go away and that you find your new challenge easier than you expected. Don't forget, we're here to support you all the way!
Mrs Moneypenny - so sorry to hear about poor Roger. My sister has recently lost her old cat (22 years old!), and I remember when I lost a very old cat (Dennis - they just have to have proper names, don't they?!)that was dear to us all. They leave a massive hole in the heart, don't they?
Shaz - good luck with the flat for Josh. I hope things work out for you all.
Jean - thanks for adding that category to the spready. I will definitely make the update my first online task tomorrow! I'm hoping for a quieter week this week. I hope you feel better after that horrid drive to the airport. We were going to go to a fete yesterday but the weather was so bad, pouring with rain for most of the day, that we decided to stay indoors instead.
Well, it's been a pretty gloomy day here, weatherwise, but it was brightened up considerably by a Skype call from DS2 and his gorgeous family. Summer is chatting away all the time, and little Megan is already trying to roll over on to her tummy - she's eighteen weeks old now. They're both very smiley children. I can't wait to see them all.
Well, I'm off to sit down and watch Countryfile. Hope you all have a lovely evening.

Baby Gilberto is -22 weeks now and DDIL and Son busy decorating and organising ,still with big grins on their faces. We managed to pick up a cot which has only been used once over the weekend for £60 so chuffed with that.

Good morning ladies - well what a very strange few weeks on here. As you probably have noticed Ive been missing have not felt my best - am trying so very hard to improve and I have to say it is wearing me out - have been out on my bike a couple of times and even managed to get to DS's sports day on Friday:j
BUT I have to say (and I know we were not going to mention it again) the last day or so's postings have really upset me - I dont like unrest and unhappiness in the group - I hate it if others are poorly or unhappy - did the silly thing of going over to LH's and read through some posts there and saw that Lou had mentioned she does not like the patterns as they are in DK and much prefers 4ply for preemies - well this has got me in a terrible spin - I have a pile of parcels waiting to go off (I know ive been saying that for a few weeks but difficult to get to PO and keep overlooking them) - Im sure Lou did not mean she did not want the DK items but being the way I am I now think all my things are useless also that shelley does not want things from us anymore
There got that bit off my chest and also one of the patterns that PreemiesUK has I designed so what happens to those??? as I am quite happy for anyone to use it - jean you may know what to do there (Jaqui's Bunting)
Please please please dont think Im being a b***h or am cross at anyone just really upset at letting things get to me too much
In my complete fog I can remember also seeing a post from
prfungi - its lovely to see you back with us from time to time - was sorry to hear that it is a struggle to sometimes post - am totally understanding of that - I do miss you though - big hugs xxxx
jean(roamin) - nothing to say than just a huge hug for you xxxx
isom - good luck with the diet hon - I really hope you get on ok - willpower is not something i have a lot of .......... - dont forget we are here for support as you have been for us - hope the headache has gone and that you feel better xxx
chalky - lovely to hear news of mum and dad to be - yes only a week left before peace is shattered - i really hope the weather improves and it is not like last year xxx
mrs m - sorry to hear you lost your cat big hugs and warm thoughts for you and the family - and also belated happy birthday - big hugs xxx
seakay - big hugs and thinking of you xxx
sock-knitter - i really hope everything runs smooth with the boys - it does sound like an emotional time for you - dont forget we are here - big hugs xxx
Sorry if ive missed anything - warm welcome to the newbies and as always love and hugs to anyone lurking or that i have missed xxxx
Anyway am off now to crawl into a corner as that is what I really want to do - what I should be doing is housework (who was it made a lovely comment about their ironing think it was Mrs M - Im thinking of getting scaffolding put round my 2 piles! yes 2 piles as I think it could hurt someone if go too near :rotfl:)
Thanks for letting me moan and Im really sorry for bringing it up but needed to get it off my chest
Love to all xxxDebt Diary: Im not going to be an Ostrich anymore -LBM - 16/1/12 /0 -
Hi everyone
Mrs Twins - that's so kind of you to offer those tickets! I hope you get a good response from your Sibolettes! I'd have had a go but it's impractical for me being so far away!
Chalky - welcome back. Great news on the cot - I know how dear they can be these days! It's a shame the weather wasn't good while you were away but at least you got a chance to catch up with friends, and you don't need good weather to do that, do you?! My Mum can get out during the summer months; it's just when there's snow and ice on the ground that she can't. She lives walking distance from the beach and a lovely park, as well as all the shops she needs, so there is plenty of walking to be had, and she does love to walk. She says it's what keeps her going, bless her! My work is definitely going well but I found Friday hard going because there was such a lot to do. Still, I don't have to commute (well, apart from having to walk from the kitchen to my office!) , and I also don't have to dress for the office, either! Plus I can have a cuppa any time I want, so it's better than it could be! AND the wool and spoiling-the-grandchildren fund is building up nicely!
Shaz - hope things are going well today.
ISOM - hope things are going well for you, too.
Anyway, I've done the update which can be found by clicking into my name at the side of this post, then going to my 'homepage'. Please let me know if there are any mistakes!
My total this week is appalling - just 2 Emergency squares

Jacqui - I've only ever sent DK things to LH and I'm sure that most of us do. I think Lou just prefers to knit in 4-ply, so that's why she mentioned it. Please don't let it stop you sending things to her. If you look at the donations on LH, you'll see just from looking at them that most of them are DK. The upset with Shelley is just one of those things, I'm afraid, but there are other charities that take baby things

The last two links mention Bonnie Babes, but when I looked on their site, they said they were closing on 15th July, which was last Friday but, as far as I know, all the others are still up and running. PM Roamin about your pattern. She has made sure that the two I put on Preemies UK are mine, and I've said that they can remain in the LH Pattern Collection and can be freely used.
Please don't be disheartened when there's an upset in the group. It's happened before and, because we don't focus on it too much, it passes and things are very soon back to their normal friendly and loving way. As for the ironing, I'd do it for you if I could because I know how it can seem overwhelming at times. When it does, I just set myself a target - I set my oven timer for, say, fifteen or thirty minutes and just iron until it beeps, then stop. At least that way some of it gets done but it doesn't seem like such a huge chore.
I hope you have a good day today and, don't forget, we are all here for you, albeit virtually.
