Woken this am to crashing migraine which is no doubt bodies detox from food! Will no doubt be dreaming of bacon sandwiches next.
I have tried over the last few days to stay out of the discussion over patterns on the boards as feel these things should ideally be discussed privately. However, the patterns removed and Shezmit has clearly said that she is leaving so can we just wish her well with her endevours and move on? One thing that I have always loved about our community is the love and support given to all on here and would be really sad if that was compromised. I dont know how others feel but personally would like to get back to the business of doing what we do best - talking of wooly things and the day to day happenings in our lives and supporting each other along the way.
Disaster with the boy blanket I was doing - kept ruffling so have frogged it and will find another but do some emergency squares meanwhile...
Quiet day for me..unsure if I will make work tomorrow but we shall see. Hope so as hate taking sick leave.
Hugs for those that need them...
Shelly good luck with the future.

More water - ISOM, to take away the headache Bacon sanies are not all they are cracked up to be....

    Good morning everyone,
First Chalky your booties have been ready for a week but I haven't been able to get to a post office, when our P.O. lady retired they decided we didn't need one in this village, not that they asked anyone who lives here. Should be able to post them tomorrow.

mioliere the wedding sounds wonderful but exhausting, very interesting to hear what other people do to celebrate.

ISOM oh dear I do hope the headache goes soon, you do seem to suffer from migraines quite often. How's your Mum and the beautiful Isoke?

Big welcome to all newbies, happy knitting!

roamin' sounds like you're doing quite a lot, please be careful we need you well and happy:)

Love to everyone as always. xxx

Yes do get migraines alot - have been prone to them since puberty and its heredetary - a present from my dad! This one definately the first flush of Cambridge Diet though and interestingly when i did lighter life I hardly had any so do wonder if carbs affect them...Looking forward to seeing the famous booties Kinsey!
Mrs M SOOOOO sorry to hear about Roger...no matter how old they are theyre still part of the family and its gutting when they go...lovely that you were with him and it was a peaceful transition. He will no doubt be chasing butterflies in heaven with his new heavenly body! No creaks there!
Roaming sorry you feel shattered but really pleased that you will chill today...huggle from me.

MrsM sorry I didn't see your edit. I'm so sorry to hear about Roger, they always leave such a big empty space don't they. Nice you were with him though. I seem to have aquired another stray, eats loads and spends the night on the settee.

hi again oldtractor found the post youll need to help you with what we are all about

We started off a few years ago just making squares, and we found an organisation that would sew the squares together into blankets, then distribute them for us. We then found Loving Hands http://www.lovinghands.org.uk/which is a fantastic charity that collects all kinds of knitted, crocheted and sewn items, and sends them around the world to various charities. It's run by a hard-working tireless lady called Lou. She collects for overseas charities, premature babies here and abroad, charities for the elderly, for animals, and so on.

We have a Yahoo group http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/Wooligan/?v=1&t=search&ch=web&pub=groups&sec=group&slk=1 on which we post photos of all the things we make (for charity and personal projects, too).

Here is a link to a post by one of us - Maytaurus who, sadly, has been unwell lately - in which she has listed loads of links to charities, free patterns and tutorials, and all sorts of other things which have really helped to keep us very busy on here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=25685267&postcount=143

Some of us have more time than others, due to various work and family commitments, but there is no pressure to make a certain number of things - just one little hat for a premature baby will make a difference to a life, so every single item counts.

this is from a post kathy did a while ago but i got the quote bit wrong
