I wish we could all sit down and share some of these-- I will lay the table and clear up.

Life Is TOO short for upsets ---
Will someone else's life be brighter tomorrow because of what you have done today?" William Arthur Ward

Please be assured that what really counts is that we keep our eyes firmly on the goal---- And our goal is to help all living things who are not as fortunate as ourselves.
I think that Mum who holds her sick or dying child will be comforted by a covering she/he will not even think what ply it is made of or where the pattern originated!
That child who is comforted by a blanket will not even know about ply.
That elderly person sitting in a home maybe with no-one to visit him will just hug that blanket and lonely tears may fall on 4 ply,Double Knit or Chunky but they may become tears of joy that someone cares not just tears because nobody cares.

Come on everybody onwards and upwards keeping our goals in mind!
Try and do a good deed every day.

  • Oh Dear Jacqui - didnt want you to feel worried or anything - MrsM has it right - what I said was that if I am knitting for prems or burial items I prefer to use 4ply or finer. Most of what we get in is still in DK so you just carry on as normal. These things do happen from time to time and the boat rocks slightly but then we carry on as normal. We have such important work to do and we all are working to the same goals ;0)

Keep up the good work - we will be launching the new challenges over on Loving Hands on Sunday - everyone is getting excited already ;0)

Lou - thank you so much for your reassurance about the DK!

Chalky - Your scones look delicious! I've made some soda bread today that's just crying out for some of that cream! We don't get it here and I just love a jam and cream sandwich!

Well ladies your support as ever has been tremendous I feel very lucky to have you to pick me up when I fall

I took your advice and timed 1 and a quarter hours worth of ironing this not got rid of a substantial part of the pile but also made me watch a couple of programmes i have recorded

what a lovely post chalky and as for the picture of the scone that is just cruel - Im sure many will be savouring that in their head :D

Its funny why is it with one week to go before summer holidays I want to gut DS's bedroom sounds the same in the Moneypenny household

ANyway like Mrs M Im off to put the ironing away - have a quick start upstairs - get tea on then tonight im sitting with my needles (am back doing my own charity knitting work now)
Love and hugs to all xxx

back from the shop the cross stitch mag wasnt out but i was good and didnt buy anything, just posted a package that needed sending off. the royal snail rip off does make me cross the newsagent was using a bout a roll of tape to make parcel small enough to fit the slot but it ended up too bulky so still had to go as a parcel yet it weighs large letter just too fat:mad:

Oh Chalky, I need that scone. What a lovely way with words you have.

f1 when I decide to tackle ironing I put on a cd and force myself to iron til it's finished. Usually Meatloaf so I'm jigging and singing at the same time. I have to be alone for this of course. Well done on the bike riding, last time I went on a bike I fell off right outside the local shop. Ever felt like a fool?

mrs-mp certainly agree with you about mail!

Sun is out for the first time today, nearly five o'clock. Oh well.

    Love to everyone, xxx
