Hello to one and all and lots of love tucked in from a very Sunny Devon!
Well the first operation Kiss the Geezers has gone well -- I definitely need to be more careful with paperwork instead of being so impatient to just get hooking and secondly I would always ask for 4 squares in future as it makes the placing so much easier. Symmetry and three is really hard to achieve!!!!

Here is a list of the members as far as I know from trawling through my posts but if I have left anyone off or someone else would like to join please shout and I will add you to our list of merry hookers!

Just to refresh everybody's memories the original plan was for everyone to make a number of squares -- 4 really does work well -- and keep these tucked away ready for a kiss the Geezers shout. Having these squares already made means our response can be really quick!
Anyone can make a shout, but obviously if this is to be as a surprise for one of our woolly friends it is best to send a Private Message to the members.
You obviously choose whether you feel it is the type of appeal which you would like to support.
Then the squares come together, sewn and finished and sent off !

Please, please feel free to join in if you missed the original post or you a newbie! The more the merrier!

We are off to the New Forest this weekend and I am taking my pale blues -- Oh and we are picking up a cot for the little one.
A brilliant buy from ebay!!Mattress unused!

    Have lovely weekends everybody!

someone has posted another link on loving hands where most of the patterns can also found in a similar form and prfungi who designed one of the patterns(the mock cable blanket) has posted her original link on lh so that can still be used.

it seems an awful lot of work for poor Jean

glad operation KYSTGYSES went so well. ill get another batch of squares made up soon

Mrs Moneypenny, got Pam's original link, so I will just amend that entry, I am also checking each and every Preemie UK pattern that may be on LH site to enable me to replace it with a similar one from elsewhere - telly is rubbish here anyway!

    Hi there

i have noticed that my request to Loving hands has been mentioned i would like to let you know the reasons for this

i have had a lot of hassle with some other groups copying the patterns which was made especially for preemiesuk and making out its their own so i am trying to get to the bottom of it and i am asking everyone who had the patterns on there page to remove them intil i can find out what is happening, I am happy with people to carry on using the patterns for their use but not to change the patterns in anyway, I hope people can understand why i am asking this,

    Thankyou

Will try and keep up with squares as know theyre of use but my no 1 priority when I get back is to finish the wrap...its recipients bday next week and unlikely to get it done so will poss be a Christmas present instead!!
Sorry that there's hassle again with patterns again - doubt youll ever get to the end of it as its the internet and impossible to regulate...I fail to understand though why people pinch patterns - just credit the owner and be done with it but people arent always honest are they. Raoming hope its not too much work though as you should be recouperating and watching bad tv!
All packed and ready to go - flight leaves mid morning so at least Ill miss the worst of the m25 and be home by early eve...
    big hugs...

  • Hi Shez, I am working through the pattern collection on Loving hands to eliminate the Preemies UK patterns but would also point out that we have always linked straight back to your site for people to pick them up from there and have always been open and clear as to where any patterns came from as the link below shows
    http://www.lovinghands.org.uk/patterns.htm
It will obviously take time to go through the collection and the whole forum will also need to be checked but it will be done as soon as possible In order to safeguard your patterns in the future perhaps you should look at putting a WATERMARK on the pattern pages on your site as well as the copyright date and details. This might then deter others for claiming them as their own. I hope you are successful in finding out who has been stealing the patterns - but the internet is a huge place to start and police.
