Miol wedding sounds interestig - friends French wedding lasted a week and my bros was over four days! Very odd with the Marie and lack of pomp at the ceremony!

Jan Eaton book of 200 squares for blankies etc is now at the top of my Presents to buy me book list........above the other couple of hundred! Can you get it on Kindle? Also is she English or will I be doing that awful struggle to convert USA to UK?
Hope you are all having a super day, I am now off to the sweatshop to see if I can make some inroads on a couple of projects. Love and cuddles to you all.

Chalky, thanks for putting the squares together so beautifully.
Roamin, glad you like and hope the loving thoughts that accompany each stitch help you now and in the days to come.
ISOM - good to know that your holiday is going so well.
I have been lurking more than joining in recently as not feeling so great so much love and hugs to all who need them - I'm afraid that the memory isn't so good at the minute plus I haven't read every post but you are in my thoughts and I'll be back and on form sometime in the future0 -
Hi everyone - I've just about found a few minutes to sit down and come online. The time just seems to fly past me these days! I thought I would have an easy couple of days but I got asked to do some more online work, so I've had to concentrate on that. I've just submitted it, so I'm treating myself to a surf on here!
Shaz - I hope things start turning a corner for you soon. It's such a shame that Butlin's charged you for the damage. I would have thought a big concern like that would have claimed on their insurance, if only as a gesture of goodwill. I hope this week turns out less expensive for you.
Prfungi - it's so good to hear from you. I hope you get your mojo back soon.
Seakay - I really hope you start to feel better soon.
Thanks for all your comments on the wedding. Jean - it turns out that this one will last until tomorrow! Sunday was a day for just family members, and yesterday the groom had to trawl around various local villages drinking! I have no idea what's happening today but I'm just glad that DH and I weren't included because we just could not keep up with the alcohol intake! We did find out what all the manic music and chair dancing was for, and it turns out that it's to keep people awake during the meal! They drink so much that there's a danger they will doze off, so every twenty minutes or so, the music starts and they have to dance! I'm so glad that our weddings in the UK are not like they are here! It makes me laugh now when I hear about the Brits reputation for binge-drinking; I think the French drink as much, if not more, but they drink all day, while the Brits generally work first then drink in their leisure time. Friends of ours here had French artisans working for them and, where we would have a cuppa, they would have a glass of wine! It's no wonder they are so slow here!
Anyway, I hope to have more time tomorrow - I've done half my latest blog post in draft, but need to add some more photos to it before I 'publish' it, so I'll do that tomorrow, as long as nothing comes along to interrupt me! Besides working, I've also had to help DH fix some tiles on the roof that came loose a couple of weeks ago - I was only ladder-holding, but it still took time! I also have a huge pile of ironing that I really must do tomorrow, and I need to do some baking - we're nearly out of bread. I have been soup-making on a large scale because a friend keeps begging me to take her surplus courgettes and I just can't see them go to waste! I now have several batches of soup, and enough to make that courgette bake that Elaine (I think it was?) posted last week. Today's dinner has been kept as simple as possible - sticky chicken wings, salad, and potatoes, all of which were prepped this morning to save time this evening!
Woolly-wise, I am working on a blanket in very fine wool (possibly 2-ply) that I've had for ages. I thought it would be ideal for a summer-weight throw. I'm also making booties because they're quick to do, and help me to use up odds and ends of baby wool as I clear out my stash. Having been prevented from visiting the UK for so long now (and we're still waiting on the French to get their finger out, I am planning on a huge huge shopping spree to make up for it!
I hope you all have a great evening. I'll do the update tomorrow.

evening all, another day where one of sons has cost me a lot of money, but all for a good reason:)
received a call this morning to say that housing had a flat empty if daniel still wanted one. so off we went to look at it, and for him to sign all paperwork.
i thought he might want to move in, in a day or two, so we could organise things, but daniel isnt one for patience lol, so wanted to move in today. so got him a big shop to fill his cupboards etc, new bedding, toaster, kettle etc, and tonight we moved him in.
so it peaceful hear at the mo, josh nobody to argue with:j
off to spend more cash tommorrow on a hoover, and a microwave, cushions etc, to make the place more homely.
hopefully he will settle in well, but i know i will worry about him especially tonight, so later i'll be having a drink , to calm me, and help me sleep.
hugs to all
