Hi everyone, sorry been missing again for a few days.

Landed back in hospital as having discomfort in chest and DS insisted on taking me in to be checked over (bossy little b.....) at 2am on Sunday. Had the usual tests and hundred questions but docs didn`t think it was heart related as blood test for that was clear. They seemed to be a bit stumped but their boss man thought it`s maybe two of the tablets I have to take disagreeing with each other so now have to take another one to counteract the effects.

Anyway, thanks to mrs-moneypenny for posting the pattern for the shawl. I looked at the website last time you posted the details and was going to have a go at it .......then promptly forgot about it.

Pippa - yes I have all the books now, the Friday night knitters club(2) and the Diva`s don`t knit(2). If anyone wants to read them I`ll quite willingly post them to you. Send me a pm with details.

ISOM - did you find your passport ??

andymandy - :rotfl:must admit I did a double take when I saw the post. Thought it was the bottom half of someone`s bikini ;)

Chalky - re drinking tea. This isn`t you by any chance ??

Roamin - how are you doing? Are your `wireless`( radio)sessions almost finished yet ? Hope you aren`t trying to do too much just because the boys are following the lycra bikers and not there to keep an eye on you.

Off to do a bit more of the basketweave blankie - it`s good `cos I only have to count to ten. Ten knit, ten purl all the way across and then ten rows before swapping over. I can only count to ten so it`s perfect.;)

Forgot to add there`s lots of knitted headband patterns here

for whoever was looking, fi widow or mrs moneypenny ? Sorry brain gone mushy again -nothing new.

    Hi everyone

ISOM - you must be so excited now! I loved the photo you posted on FB! I hope plans go well and that you have a great holiday! Your friend must be longing to see you. I'm sure she'll get better really quickly once you are there. Your changeover days in Greece sound exhausting; I find it a chore just doing one house!

Elaine - poor you. I hope you're feeling better now. My sister ended up in hospital for a week because different medications she was on disagreed with each other. I hope they can sort yours out so that you don't have another scare.

    Andymandy - I did a double-take, too. I think it was the flesh-coloured background!

Pippa - despite the giggles, the shawl is lovely, and I love that rich purple. Hope OH is doing well.

Jean - Tour de France in full swing now. I'm not sure I could follow it, though. We did get held up by it a few years ago; the gendarmes had blocked off the exits on a roundabout for two hours, and the cyclists whipped by in all of two minutes! Hope you are feeling better, and that the radiotherapy sessions are going well.

Chalky - hope mum-to-be is doing well, and that granny-to-be is managing to contain the excitement (although I know that's impossible!).

I haven't done the update yet but will try and do it later on today. I've had a difficult few days (for various reasons), and my mojo seems to be hiding at the moment. I've had a lot of work to do, and we've also been helping with the forthcoming wedding. We now have two caravans in our garden for overnight guests on Friday and Saturday! There's room for more, so the groom is putting the word out! I was also very flattered when the bride-to-be asked if she could cut some of our hydrangeas to decorate the church. They are looking wonderful at the moment. The heads are so big that I can cut just three and, once they are in a vase, they look like a huge bouquet. We have white, pink, and purple, and she wants white ones. Hopefully, we will be allowed to take photos in church. As it will be a long long day ( I think it takes in five separate venues!), I have charged up lots of camera batteries!

The only woolly stuff I've done lately, apart from some emergency squares which I posted off yesterday, is to make a flower that matches the dress that I'm wearing to the wedding, which I will attach to my handbag. I've found a lovely but simple crochet pattern for some 'crossover' booties, so I think I'll make a few pairs - once you've made the first pair, the pattern is imprinted on the brain, so won't take much concentration.

I hope you all have a great day. Lots of hugs to those in need.

    Just a quick note....
the post arrived at 11:00 and the consultant Mr.B is on leave so his clinic has been cancelled.
Another appointment has been made for OH on 20thJuly, not sure he can cope with the probs until then so he has rung Mr.B's secretary, awaiting her return call now

    Hello everybody!
A very, very showery day today so lots of Crafty bits and pieces going on! I made a batch od cards this morning and am busy knitting this afternoon. But 3 Weetabix cakes ( 1 to eat and 2 to freeze) are soaking on the side!

Freezer diving still going on -- getting towards the unmarked knobbly bits now so recipes have to be ingenous!!!!

Pippa - I am so sorry about canceltion. I get unrealistically nervous about hospitals so delays would be my worst nightmare! I am so sorry that DOH is having to cope with all this and I do know in such situations you must be feeling equally anxious -- So just to let you know we are thinking of you and sending very gentle thoughts.

PSSO -- I do hope the new medication works its magic! You seem to be really having to face a lot at the moment.I hope little "J'S" smiles help a lot!
I love that advert but very rarely drink Gin!

ISOM -- Nearly there!! I am sure you will give your friend such a boost but just remember to take some "me" time. Maybe some gin for you? Purely medicinal of course!!!

Mrs M-- Are you doing any bits and pieces for the Choir anymore. I often think of that lovely wall hanging you made for the school!

Kathy-- Your little corner sounds as if the excitement is really growing-- Is the bunting up?

Jean, May, Seakay and anyone else with their hands overflowing I hope each day brings some return to full health!

Well I am still enjoying the Debbie Bliss Baby Book--- No surprise there then!!

To all the MIA'S, LURKERS OR JUST QUIET READERS--- Anankat, Dpixie,SGT. Linedancer Anne. Purple Teddy Bear. Pfungi, Salome, Orkney Star, Happy Crafter, Trifles, Ginnyknit to name but a few.

    Apprentice this evening!!!!!!
Try and do a good deed every day.

one of my sons is giving me real problems, and is in police custody as i write. big decision to be made, do i allow him home, and face further violence, or let hi go in hostel, and him risk possible violence, not a place i would choose for myself let alone a child.
friend has lent me a waistcoat pattern, that looks easy enough while my brain is awol, the bands are knitted on along with the fronts. i have loads aran, so after i made one for me, i plan on making some for lh too
just need to survive the next few days, as whatever choice i make wont be easy
