Quiet day here so I think I will get the sewing machine out again! Also playing with a 3D Crochet idea -- piccies soon!

Hope to have an update on the "poorlies" soon but hope it's gentle steps forward nor 1 forward 1 back and a Dosey Do IYKWIM! lOVE TO YOU ALL X

KATHY I can feel your frustration through the keyboard. I am so sorry it is such an uphill struggle! Just for the next few days parcel it up again and have real fun with your lovely impending wedding. Please take some photos for your blog so that we can all have a peep!

F1 -- They were Crochet Headbands and Bracelets. Wish you were closer and we could have a hooky lesson together!

ISOM -- Nearly ready? I don't drink tea so have no idea about brands. DOH likes Yorkshire and PG though!

Mrs Moneypenny -- That shawl sounds lovely. Hope you found the pattern!

Right must get on but lots of love x

found the original link id posted the cobweb shawl is on here, i hadnt got the big pins it stated so used 7 1/2mm ones as they are my biggest, i used 3 x 50gm balls of fine mohair and thats come up a nice size, i will buy some big pins and do a 'proper' one as its a lovely pattern. my suggestion would be to mark the centre stitch with a different coloured thread and keep moving it up as you knit because its very easy to 'lose' the center and make the middle line wobble, you dont notice till you get further up the pattern;)
theres a web site that goes with the books ive been reading with 3 free knitting patterns on it, a tea cosy, a ruffle scarf and a lovely cobweb shawl its www.mcknits.co.uk then click on downloads, if anyone is interested. it says you can use them for non profit making reasons
    just click on downloads

hope all are well, sending hugs and gentle thoughts.

finished the scarf, i used the same pattern as the cobweb shawl i just casted on 30 stitches, you get a nice chevron effect because you are taking a stitch off one side and adding to the other so the finished scarf looks diagonal:T

got to rush work is calling

mrs-moneypenny - I loved that book it was one of the swaps we did a while ago you sent me The Friday Night Knitting Clubin exchange, which I then passed on to... Elaine was it you?

Below (if it works) is a pic of the cobweb shawl I did from that pattern, I used 100g ball that had been hanging around for ages just to try it, I passed it on to a friend of my sisters she loves purple so it was just the job for her.
I wish I had done as you suggested and put a marker on the centre stitch would have made life so much easier, and a bit less wobbly :rotfl: But its a lovely pattern and so effective

DS2/DIL and DGS are off to Peppa Pig World for a couple of days, the little feller is mad keen on George ;)

kathy - O I wish I could give you this in person (((hug))) you will be home before you know it with that lovely little bundle in your arms
f1widow - sad or not I love it so there are at least 2 of us who admit to it:rotfl:I have a feeling there was a 3rd series hope so anyway
ginnyknit - Nice to see you :) any chance of a pic of the 'extreme' rug?
chalky - love the cardi, your knitting always looks so neat... mining in the freezer...well thats one way to keep your cool:rotfl:

Have done a mish-mash of things over the last few days, loom hats, granny squares and some more on the Sands blanket, but no enthusiasm for much at the mo

Will settle better I think after DH's hospital appointment tomorrow PM

Off to prep veg for Dinner then go watch TV for a bit with some woolly stuff while the caserole is cooking

This picture just gave me a good laugh, sorry but after a stressful morning at the hospital for tests I saw this and thought it was a pair of pants, I realise now after reading it what it is but it really cheered me up

Andymandy -- I am so glad there was something here to make you smile after hospital tests__ Nothing too serious I hope, but always a worrying time.
Pippa -- I do hope tomorrow goes well -- No wonder you can't settle to anything!
F1-- I do hope you are enjoying summer in your new home and you are managing to turn the wheels on that new bike!
    ISOM Nearly there!

I have just had a massive tidy up of the woolly stuff. Well it makes a change from mining in the freezer!
So now I must finish all the WIP'S I have found!

    Have nice evenings everyone
