    Hi everyone

Another busy day Chez Mioliere; I had so many chores that I had to make a real effort to get them all ticked off the list. The ironing finally got done, and I have made a start on a huge pile of filing, which I will try and finish tomorrow. It's Bastille Day tomorrow (another bank holiday here) so, as the shops will be closed all day, I had to pop out to get a few bits and pieces. We have twenty tills in our local supermarket but only three were open despite the fact that it was packed with customers. I only had a few items but, of course, the 'ten items or less' tills were both closed, so I ended up waiting for over twenty minutes - everyone, from the customers to the girls on the tills, take so long to do anything and it can be really frustrating. You can always tell the Brits here - they are the ones with their purses out ready to pay, and their bags ready to pack!

The weather is a real mixture of sun and cloud today, but it's still warm.

ISOM - it sounds lovely in Naples but, obviously, too hot to make the most of the sun. It must be lovely in the evenings, though. I hope you're having a great time.

Shaz - I'm sure Daniel will settle in well, and let's hope he realises just how well looked-after he has been at home. I hope he can get his claim sorted out quickly.

Jean - please make sure you get enough rest.

Seakay - hope you're feeling better soon.

The stragglers from the wedding party have been staying at the neighbours' house, but they've finally gone. The bride and groom look completely shattered - I don't know how they're supposed to consumate the marriage; they've been surrounded by people since the minute they got married! They're really glad it's a bank holiday tomorrow!

Anyway, I hope to catch up with you all tomorrow, and I definitely intend to spend more time surfing - I've barely sat at the computer this week, apart from doing work-related stuff!

Hello to one and all -- Lots of love tucked in too!

MrsTwins Thank you for your kind words about the blanket! I was only the finisher! It was a lovely joint effort for Jean from the Knit Your Square To Give Your Share Emergency Squares or KYSTGYSES or Kiss the Geezers Club!!:rotfl:
All the members were lovely and sent such beautiful squares it was a pleasure to sew it up and add the border!:T:T:T

I, myself, have recently made a Granny Square Blanket and for some reason I am not that pleased with it-- It was to replace the one I gave to my friend who has had a bad diagnosis last week. So I am starting Blue Granny 2 ( All revealed in my latest Blog Post!)
We shall see if this works out in a more pleasing way!

Well we had a call from DS and DDIL to say they have been to the midwife and heard the baby's heartbeat so of course they are delighted. I wish people would stop telling them all the superstitious things around a baby -- it is worrying them so needlessly!E.g -- Should the pushchair come into the house before the baby is born!!! It was supposed to be delivered to our house today but they made a mistake and now it has been delivered to their house and it is still at this moment outside the door!!!!!!!

Shaz -- Lots of good luck wishes to you all as a new stage of your life begins!
Kathy--- It is going to seem so quiet in your little corner!
mRS m -- I bet you are so proud! I bet F1 gets a similar report!
Ginnyknit I do hope your OH is improving
Lots of gentle thoughts to those struggling with health issues right now -- Please keep on keeping on and I hope every day brings a return to full health!
Lurkers and MIA's -- Lots of love!

Well yesterday I had a real treat DD1 ( She is 30) works as a Beauty Therapist in a Salon in Totnes. She did so well last year they have undertaken to train her inhouse in haircutting. Well she needed a model yesterday so my day went like this.
    1) A facial and head and shoulders massage-- To thank me for being her model!
    2) A 3 hour stint in the chair having my hair cut- It was only the 2nd time she has cut and I could tell how nervous she was but her training manager was brilliant.
    3) Then she whisked me upstairs for an eyebrow, eyelash tint and eyebrow wax.

So I came out a " new" woman! It was lovely to see where she worked and see her training!
Try and do a good deed every day.

chalky, how wonderful to have such a lovely treat day from ddil
kathy, do u fancy doing my ironing, pretty please
not had any time to sit down today til now, been shopping yet again for daniel, freeview box, microwave, cushions to brighten the place up etc. then took him to benefits, at the moment it seems like he can not claim anything, as he is in receipt of dla, and i'm still his carer, as i get carersallowance for him. i still will be doing more than 35 hours a week in supporting him, so ctc claim continues, but child benefit stopped, so looks like bank of mum again. his care worker in housing is filling in benefits as i type, she keeps ringing me to ask questions, so i hope he gets that, as i cant afford to pay his rent too. hes had a good feed before leaving ten mins ago, dare say he'll be back for a meal anytime soon lol
going to visit him in his own place tommorrow, and let him miss coming here during tommorrow, so he gets used to being in his flat, and makeing new friends with the young people there.
might get me and josh a take away tommorrow not very mse, but by god i'm exhausted
    hugs all

    Hi everyone.

It has been brought to my attention that Shelley, of Preemies UK, has asked that all her patterns be removed from the Loving Hands Pattern Collection. Roamin in the gloamin, as one of the pattern keepers who painstakingly sorted and catalogued all the patterns in the collection, is currently in the process of locating and deleting them but, of course, this will take some time. In the meantime, we are asking that no-one downloads any patterns in the collection that look as if they are attributed to Shelley or Preemies UK.

Thank you all very much for your kind co-operation.
