morning everyone
kathy, well done on your victory, hopefully it wont be long til you can visit your family
mum and dad have had an alarm fitted which goes direct to the police station, i dont think they are allowed to keep it long term tho, not sure on details, mum was upset when she was telling me, will find out for sure tommorrow.
had another child in meeting with social services yesterday, found out that joshua has started smoking, and behaving really badly at school, he scribbled all over his maths gcse paper too, so thats definatly a fail. he is swearing all the time both at home and school, when questioned about this, he says he is sick of being called teachers pet, and wants to fit in with the other lads:mad:, thank goodness in some respects that he leaves the school next friday, maybe then he may start to improve?
on the knitting side, i did 6 IS hats last night, at last some charity knitting done.
also been asked by carers wakefield to make some things that they can sell at xmas fair in order to raise funds.
hugs all
love shaz xxxloves to knit and crochet for others0 -
Shaz - have pm'd you. Also, I think it's awful that your Mum and Dad risk not being able to keep the alarm, after all those horrid burglaries. Hugs to them.

Hi everyone; I hope you are all having a good Saturday. I must apologise for not having done the update this week - I've decided to do this week's at the same time as I do next week's. I hope you don't mind! I seem to have had a really hectic week and I'm finding it hard to get any proper spare time, apart from in the evenings when I'm worn out! DH is now working on extending our outside seating area - no mess inside, but I still have to help now and again! I've been baking all morning - DH's usual Saturday cake, and some tea loaves; should keep us going through the week! I've also had loads of online work - I seem to have been head-hunted by someone, through another company I work for, who emailed yesterday and asked if I would write eight articles for her by Monday. I also have another three to do, also by Monday, so I can see where my time will be spent for most of this weekend! I don't mind; I enjoy doing it and the pennies from these will go into my 'wool' fund ready for my next trip back home. Like Chalky when she's in Spain, I find the wool available in the UK to be far superior, as well as a lot cheaper, than here.
Anyway, Jean and Elaine - I trust that you are taking it easy, as you know you should.
Pippa - hugs to you and your OH.
Mrs Twins - if you keep the address book right next to your PC, you will soon get into the habit of using it for passwords, and so on! It works well for me, even though the book is now falling apart!
Hugs to all those MIA - Maytaurus, Mrs MW, Prfungi, Linedancerann, D Pixie (where are you?!) and all those I haven't mentioned.
Well, off to clear up the kitchen after all that baking!

Hi all, wet and miserable here like most of the country I believe.
Kathy - all your baking is making my mouth water !! You`ll need plenty of cake and cuppas to get you through all your writing. Wonder if DD will do some for us.............
Pippa - hope you enjoyed your night out with the girls. Headache today??
Shaz - hope things quieten down for your family. It must be very stressful for you worrying about your parents and coping with teenagers too.
Chalky - hope you are enjoying your weekend.
Jean - are you round the bend yet with this resting malarkey ?
I tried doing a row of a wee jumper I have on the needles, only 48 stitches but it took ages and was not much fun. Have resorted to taking painkillers now as the arm seems to be worse today than yesterday. Hopefully it`s a case of getting worse before it gets better. Been avoiding pain relief as I tend to try doing more than I should when the pain is masked, found that out last time so behaving this time.
Off to watch the raindrops racing down the window while I have a sandwich. Almost tempted to put on the coal fire - and this is Summer ??
Enjoy your Saturday.
