Knit Your Square to Give Your Share - PART 4

Hello to one and all-- I have been having a very quiet day here today and as I have quietly been knitting I have been thinking.
Mrs Twins --- I am so sorry you have been so upset. I am not going to go over it all, and, as the lovely people on here have said you have done nothing wrong. But that doesn't always help when you are upset.
Going back a long way I remember Kathy posting about you and reading that your inspiration came from your Grandmother. She sounds an absolutely mazing woman woman. I also had a grandmother like that -- the very same person who taught me all the crafting skills I know, and who I am thankful for every day.
So often when I have a trouble I think of her and think " I wonder what she would do about this?"
I think faced with you situation my Grandmother would have said something like " Well they can't help themselves and I am not going to give it another thought and it certainly won't stop me doing what I am best at!"
You are amazing at creating blankets that are full of love-- as you so generously say not just yours but everybody's who contribute squares.
So, for us all will you perhaps think what your Grandmother might have said and pick up your hook and carry on creating those blankets full of love.
I for one thank you for being you. Your generosity in making sure we all know all about our little efforts is what makes YOU so special
PSSO-- Please take it easy -- Lots of love xTry and do a good deed every day.0 -

Well said Chalky.:T
I keep popping in to have a look at the beautiful blankets and I did say that I would contribute a while ago, but to be honest I feel that my squares would be pretty basic compared to some of the lovely ones you get Mrs Twins.:o
Well I couldn`t do much gardening today - rain stopped play - so I had to sit and do some knitting instead.....woe is me,what a chore. While doing the blanket border I was having a think about my next project. I`ve always fancied having a wee footstool with a crocheted cover so I might get DS to knock up something for me, lots of bits of wood lying about in the shed/greenhouse --oh you thought greenhouses were for plants ? not mine, you`d be amazed at what there is in there:rotfl:. Watch this space, but don`t hold your breath, DS should be Spanish, he`s a great believer in manana.
Off for an earlyish night, not been sleeping well so sleep when I can.
Hugs to all, especially Mrs Twins (try not to worry too much about it, it sounds as if the lady concerned didn`t realise how much she`d let herself in for and has been snowed under and isn`t coping very well) Keep the butterfies fluttering, you`re doing a grand job.
Night night all.

Hi Everyone,
Just popping in to say I feel much better thank you!
I have picked up my hook! Hooray!
and I'm off again.
psso - Thank you very much for your kind words.
Chalky 75 - Thank you very much, I have been thinking about what you have said. My Nan would have said I know this sounds silly, but she would say
'Goodbye and Good Shut! I know what she means. So yes to the lady in question 'Goodbye and Good Shut!'. I'm feeliing so much better and I will now carry on with our 'Sunshine Blankets!'. I was hoping to get the Nursing Home this week but maybe next week now. I will keep you informed.
I've got over it now. To be honest another reason why I took the Blog post down was because I didn't want it escalating you know? I think things have been quite under control really. There aren't a lot of Ladies who know on Flickr. Good job it was the weekend while everyone was out enjoying themselves! But I have had lovely comments from my friends on MSE and I really really appreciate them. Thank you. So yes lets' get back to hooking!!!!
f1 widow - Thank you also so very much your words are appreciated.
Mioliere - So many thanks to you too, very nice of you. I have picked up my hook and I'm okay now thank you ! I appreciate your comments. x
Pippa - Thank you Pippa, also for the mail. Don't worry about me I'll be okay now.
In Search of Me - Yes I agree with you. I want to put it all behind me now, I appreciate your words too thank you.
Thank you all so much. I'm glad I've chatted about it to you all. I did want to tell you but wasn't sure whether it was right to on here.
I hope you are all enjoying your Knitting and Crocheting and have a lovely evening!
Hugs and many, many thanks Suex0 -
Hello to one and all and very happy hooking to everybody! So glad yours is smokin' again Mrs Twins!
Hope everyone is feeling a bit brighter -- the weather had been gorgeous here to day!
Well you would all be impressed as I am finishing off every SINGLE thing I have started before starting anything new-- ( That can not include the jacket I started eons ago that is hidden from sight under the stairs cupboard that winks at me every time I open the door!!!!!!!!)
So I am off to carry on but love to you all xxxTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
I did a huge post earlier and this darned lappy logged me out, dont know whats going on around here lately, virgin came in the other day and changed a cable and it was ok for a while but looks like its throwing wobbly's again...
Well I wont be needing it for a while as we are off to Devon in the morning for a few days ...
I have tried to post this a few times now but every time I type it and read back my insides do flip-flops _pale_ so here goes...
The secretary did not ring back on Friday the surgeon did, he told us OH has to have an operation on the tumour in his cheek it is on the small saliva gland. The op is booked for 21st june, but he has
to have the CAT scan first so the surgeon will get that sorted and let us know. It has to be done before the op so they can pinpoint the spot in case OH needs radiation treatment afterwards.
We had intended to go down to the caravan this week anyway so decided to carry on and go, the surgeon said he will make the appt for after 13th when we come back.
So now you understand why I had problems with the gathering scarf I made a complete hash of, BUT I will do it eventually when my brain is firing on all cylinders again
Well I better go and get my wooly stuff sorted I cant go without any I'd get the fidgets.
Plan to do a couple more OCC hats on my travels up and down the country.
Sorry havent mentioned anyone but I am sending (((hugs))) to you all.
and for those who believe a little prayer would be most appreciated
Take care everyone
Love Anne

Well, that's what you get for getting used to living in a dust-free environment - someone who obviously just loves sanding! DH has finished all the bannisters, and made a lovely job of them, but then came the decision about whether to paint or stain the whole lot, stairs and all. We decided on antique pine (achieved by mixing used caustic soda and furniture stain). All the wood had to be sanded down first, of course, so I've had a long afternoon cleaning up all the inevitable dust. He's already started the staining and we are really pleased with how it's turning out, so I suppose it's worth it!
Mrs Twins - I'm so pleased that you are hooking again, and that you've closed the door on that particular episode. Onwards and upwards, I say!
Pippa - good luck to your OH. It must be such a worry. I hope you have a lovely time away.
Puppetlady - lovely blog post!
Elaine - I hope you have a good night's sleep tonight.
Chalky - now you've made me feel guilty! Only this morning I sorted out my WIPs (and ignored them all, hoping that the finishing fairy would deal with them)!
Jean - I hope you are OK? You'll not be surprised to hear that I've had more red tape episodes! I'll explain more when I've got more time.
Well, I haven't sat down all day apart from mealtimes, and now I'm just longing to get my feet up.

Evening all; another manic day today with hundreds of miles driving and after worky activity for our young people; after yesterdays late night am a tad pooped! Car (poor wee girl is tired too!) is in for her MOT tomorrow so fingers crossed!
Pippa will gladly say a humongous prayer for you both, just sad that you need one! Sounds as if caught early though so thats a huge plus! Enjoy the break - will be time for you both to rest, think and ready yourself for the weeks ahead.

Good to hear that you are feeling better Mrs Twins...you just carry on doing your bit and leave the rest of em to it. You make a huge difference by the work you do and carry on as you are...
