Hi
Actually have a few spare minutes :-)
Tomorrow we are picking up my daughter, son in law, his sister, and my three little grandgirls from Gatwick. They are arriving from America for a four week stay. Not their dad and Aunty. They are here for two weeks, and are doing some travelling while here. Dawn is working, so I'm a full time granny for the four weeks :-) 7am they land, so it's an early morning for me tomorrow :-)
We did our first caravan trip :-) That went really well, though I didn't get to relax in it that much as I was helping with Kids work and other things. It was a Christian get together up in Evesham. Still it was good, and I enjoyed the caravan a lot more than a tent :-) We couldn't work out how to get the emersion working though, so didn't have hot water. Didn't matter as we were only there 3 1/2 days. Nice to have a proper cooker and a fridge :-)
I managed to get the blanket I was making for it done just before we left :-) Grateful for it, because the first night was freezing lol.
Tons on home here at the mo. Will be meeting myself coming back I reckon lol :-)
I'm on a wool buying ban. I have loads stacked away in boxes in my cupboard so have told myself, I'm not to buy anything until I've used it all up. That's going to take a year or more I reckon lol. Most of it is the Sirdar Snowflake. I had a craze on it and bought loads from ebay several years ago, so I think fleecy bed socks, baby blankets, hats, gloves etc will be on the needles and hooks soon lol. Will see if I can sell what I make and put the money towards the school our pastors wife is setting up in Africa :-)
Have a blessed and prosperous day. Hugs to all in need. ((((hugs)))). Love you all.

Evening all! Lovely day here with some silk paper and bowl making which was much enjoyed by mum and I. Less so a couple of the participants rolling eyes and whispering at things mum did and said which I found v upsetting - she didnt notice much of it (spending much time on her own planet lol!) but I did and it spoiled the day. Im hoping it doesent happen often as Ill eventually have to say something but let it go for now. Just leaves a nasty feeling which is horrible. Some people cant help themselves being nasty can they eh!
Other than that plyed my last wool for the book cover which I will of course share when its done!!
Hope you have all been enjoying the sunshine and having nice time!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -

Shezmit,
I'm glad you posted.
I have a lot of stamps come through from all over the World for our
SIBOL project. I'd be happy to collect for you. I have been thinking about
this for some time. It has always seemed such a shame to throw them away.
Hope everyone on here are well.
My best wishes

:hello: Hope everyone has had a good week. It is our eldest son's birthday today so we are going to his for Sunday lunch and birthday cake.
I live in the Southeast which has had the dryest Spring for 100years so if some of you from "up north" could send down a bit of rain, my garden would be really greatful
Update 1 Sands blanket0 -

F1 yes it wasnt nice but then I think it says more about them than anything...I always feel quite sad for people like that - the only way they make themselves feel better is to be horrible to other peopleWormy worms in their tummy I always say!
