Evening all! Just back from home group which was lovely; a real reminder of how God cares for the minutiai of our lives which I sometimes forget!
Alas that did not involve my tooth this am. The one Ive had so much problem with alas snapped at the back while eating my toast! There is a bit left so will see tomorrow whether they can salvage it - really hope they can after all this time and drilling!
Roaming -keep resting lovely! Know its hard but it will reap dividends in the long run and your body will heal nicely as it should!
Pfungi & Salome lovely to see you both; please come play more often!
Miol great news re family! long may skype and healing continue!
Seakay its here whenever or I can drop it off at some stage soon! Lol re groupon...my lovely friend treated me to lovely groupon Indian meal last night and refused to let me pay so i said I would get the drinks - 2 G&T's, glass of wine plus popadams and dips came in at almost as much as the meal lol but we did have a good natter and munch!
F1 hope back gets better soon...worth massage or osteopath if you can afford it - you have my sympathies...
And finally on wooly stuff I have (at last!) created my first spun wool! Suffice to say that its actually quite a labor, time intensive task so hand done wool will be for special things only!! There is something really special about creating from sheep to finished item...just need to knit it up now!!

Hello everyone. Well i have finished all the wedding stuff I was making despite running out of glue sticks this morning  and having to rush to Hobbycraft and grab some more, ooh a ball of milk chocolate coloured wool fell in my basket just right for knitting Dgs a monkey for (dare I mention it??) Christmas. Well I always start early because with my crazy life you never know whats going to crop up next. That seems to be a common theme on this thread though - you all seem to have a lot of trials in your life and still get on with it, much admiration to you all.

Roamin am just printing off the hexagon baby cardigan, so cute. Apparently you can adapt the hexagon to adult size, I have seen a few patterns for them but the instructions on Bev's country cottage are particularly clear.

The monkey I am knitting was a free pattern from the allaboutyou site and as well as being free is really cute. So tomorrow I will be digging out all my odd balls of wool and starting some squares. So Im off to bed now to look through my patterns. Night all :)

its 1/2 term here so busy with the boys the girls and DH are in work so dont get the luxury of things like 1/2 terms and long summer holidays (im so glad i work in a school:j) someones give me a load of jigsaw puzzles that im hoping to donate to a charity fete on saturday so me and youngest DS have been working throgh them to check all the pieces are there, any that arent done by the fete will get checked and given to the school for their summer fayre. im also knitting flowers to turn into corsages for the high school christmas craft fayre for the pta.

    Hi everyone

F1 - those hats are gorgeous; well done to you and your DS!

Mrs Moneypenny - thanks for the link; there are some lovely patterns on the various sites. Good luck checking all those jigsaws! Working in a school is just about the best job when you have children; both my DILs are teachers, so holidays are not the worry they are for most people.

ISOM - would love to see the very first item you make with your own spun wool!

Well, we are still painting, and I've been doing a fair bit of online work, too, so the time is racing away. I just wish there were more hours in the day and more days in the week! I've done some more Kyoyu Kyoyu squares; they're easy to pick up and put down, so I'm just doing them when I get a spare half an hour or so. I'll have a count up when the next update is due.

We have lovely weather again today; it's bound to break soon, and we so badly need the rain.

Take care, everyone, and have a good day.

Thank you Pippa.S for the lovely parcel of things for OCC!

I'll show you all later what Anne has kindly sent me!

I'm busy getting ready to attend a Samaritan's Purse conference this weekend - that's the charity that operates OCC.

    Have a great weekend, everyone!

:wave:hi homealone nice to see you of course you can join our happy little band the more the merrier :T

I started something for MYSELF a couple of nights ago, but it is slow going, I decided to use the kidsilk haze yarn my sister bought me last year along with the 'Little Luxury Knits' book by Alison Crowther Smith.
I am doing the gathering scarf and my goodness does it take some patience, its like knitting a cobweb on telegraph poles :rotfl: AND beads to be threaded on first then knitted in ...not much beats me with knitting or crochet but this is coming close.....:o

Havent had the appointments yet for the MRI and CAT scan, the consultants secretary should be ringing today

well off outside to get things sorted
