There are no words to describe how sorry I am for your loss
I cannot imagine what you are going through
My heart goes out to you and your family
I am also so sorry that ‘the NHS have consistently failed you ......’
I truly know how that feels

morning all
sorry i havent been in for a while busy busy, sending hugs and kind thoughts to all.
seraphim sending you deepest condolences and gentle thoughts
ISOM i hope your tooth problems ease, years ago i had a tooth filled and it went very sensitive i ended up having to have it reopened filled with oil of gloves then lined and refilled thats the one that a few years later i ended up having the root canal done on. on speaking to a different dentist problem was caused just because dentist hadnt 'lined' the tooth before filling after it was drilled. aparently it should be done but lots of dentists dont bother as it doesnt always cause problems and saves them time and money. It was a dentist who told me that.
had to go back drs last week, last blood test showed anemia

New camper is fun even the dogs behaved themselves (that's a first from our two). DH did a shake down when he went with it up to Belgium a couple of weekends ago for the bike racing and I was very GREEN with envy' we didn't go far just down to the south coast and visited Janette and her monsters........who all wanted to stay the night.........NO CHANCE of that now....its stricktly a three person maximum not the 6 of the previous big bus that's how you stop them all wanting go away with you - in case you wondered. Haven't had a chance to catch up but will go and have a proper read now sending you all great big squishy cuddles and lots of love, get well messages to those who are poorly back soon

Hello Everyone,
I'm pleased too to see Maytaurus posting!
In a magazine today there was a lovely booklet, I don't like to see it go to waste.
I don't knit. But I know you do!!!!
Would anyone like a gorgeous little booklet?
It's Alan Dart's 'Chess Set'.
I would only be too pleased to send it on to the first person who mails me
on
sueatpigsty@talktalk.net
with their address.
Alan Dart designs wonderful knitted characters, but this chess set is so extraordinary!
It's not only a work of art in itself, it would make a really thoughtful gift for anyone who plays
games from children learning how to play chess to men! You would put weights in the bottom of the
characters to make them stand up. I think they are brilliant, but not suitable for me or anyone in the family.
Anyone on MSE are welcome to the pattern if you would mail me (not pm on here, I don't like it....)
Thank you!
Hugs Suex

Puppet Lady -- Loving the rainbow puppets!
Wel we dropped DS and DDIL to Alicante -- The week went in a complete whirlwind!! But so lovely . We always come home feeling sad time passes so quickly, and as as my Mum used to say "You can't even knock the skin off a rice pudding!" But our solution is to clean the house from top to bottom. We just enjoy company and do NO work. So that soon makes you feel better and gets everything back to normal!
Big waves to MIA'S -- No word from Dpixie! Or LinedancerAnne, Orkney Star, HappyCrafter, Salome, Pfungi, psso
and some lovely others. Gentle thoughts if your hands are overflowing!Try and do a good deed every day.0 -
Well done, Dawn; your granny square is a triumph! There'll be no stopping you now!
Chalky - please don't mention the red tape! Turns out we were wrongly advised by an official to visit a particular office to chase our problem up; we went yesterday only to find out that they only open two days a week (so typical of France!), and then still have two hour lunch breaks. Went again today to be told that it's nothing to do with them. I've asked some questions on a forum for expats and had several different answers. As it is, we've decided to give it a few more days, then go back to the office where DH registered as self-employed, and see if they can find out what's going on. As it is, we have private health cover (which we're paying through the nose for) that we can't use without our French health cover being in place so, if we have any medical emergencies, we will have to pay up front and then hope that we can claim it back. A friend of ours waited over two years for €700 that was owed to her, and which she badly needed, so I'm not holding my breath. The very worst thing of all is that we are now no nearer to being able to organise our trip back home. TBH, I am so fed up with the red tape here - it throws up so many challenges and no-one ever seems to know what's going on - if they do, they don't let on and just leave you floundering in the dark. It's not just with this problem; it's everything else we've had to deal with. I honestly think the French are bone idle and pretty stupid, all going around in their own little bubbles completely oblivious to what's going on around them. Sorry for the rant - I bet you wish you hadn't mentioned it now!
Well, at least it's been sunny today. We've taken loads of stuff to the local tip and even that closed at 12 noon, on the dot, despite about four people waiting to dump stuff! It didn't re-open until 2pm. It seems they haven't thought about staggering lunchtimes so that they can stay open! Sorry, I'm ranting again - I think I'd better go and put the kettle on for a calming cuppa!
Jean - glad you're enjoying your new camper!
Mrs Moneypenny - I might just send you my ironing seeing as how you enjoy it so much!
