    Been a terrible day for me. My Dad called me early this morning to tell me my Mum had died on holiday :( So I'm jumping on a plane tomorrow morning to meet up with him - no idea when we'll be coming back as there are no tickets available at the moment :(

    Not taking my needles with me so no knitting for a while.

    oh no! thats just awful; my heart goes out to you all; bad enough someone dying without the added complication and distress of getting them home...huge hugs for you all.

    Mum was actually on holiday in her home country so we will bury her there, next to her brothers & parents. We'll probably then have a small service at home for friends who want to pay their respects.

    Sorry to have derailed the thread a bit - I'm just at a total loss; I thought losing my daughter was bad enough and now losing my Mum too... life really sucks sometimes.
