Thanks, Chalky - I think I need them! I've spoken to both boys and their families on Skype since my rant, so I feel a bit better now! My DGD1 (8 year old) said that, although she loves to see me on Skype, she can't wait to see my '3D face', bless her! I think we're all getting to the point when only a proper cuddle in the real world will do!

I'm off for a shower now then a sit down with my crochet, hopefully. We have a nice morning planned with friends tomorrow; the husband has such a wicked sense of humour that he's sure to cheer me up! He's had me in stitches just on the phone arranging things!

    Have a great evening, everyone.

I will take a picture of the scarf-- We bought the wool in New Zealand and the scarf is knitted on 9mm !!! needles but it is the most beautiful colours . A reminder of the mountains here in the evening light!

So I am still working on Story Bag waiting for the new Challenges for Loving Hands. I hope they are good!

    Hi all,

Chalky - I`m still here, just a bit bogged down by things. Been a bit busy and think I`m now suffering for it. Try to do too much all at once when I`m feeling fine, then feel so tired for a few days afterwards. You`d think I`d have learned to pace myself better wouldn`t you - suppose I`ll never learn though. Hmm yes, little J is quite partial to some choccy. He`s welcome to my share too.
Right now he`s being a naughty boy, I hear his mum telling him off for interfering with my knitting needles and wool. Oh dear.

F1 - I`m with you on the ironing - as long as everything is clean I`ll quite happily leave it all folded up in neat piles. Just iron as needed. And I don`t feel at all guilty about it either. Naughty me ?

Mioliere - hope you had a lovely giggly morning with your friends, laughter is a great tonic.

Roamin - glad you enjoyed your jaunt in the camper, I`m sooooo envious.

Think I might go for a lie down see if it help with the tiredness.

Hugs to all who need them.

But these are something else! And of course it helps when the Aubergines are 1 Euro a kilo in the market!! Anyway a good old English Trifle and everyone went home happy so DOH and I are happy too!

PSSO I do love to know that all is well in your little bit of Scotland -- I can just imagine little J into everything!

evening all! Well survived another day in work...new trainers and long day = bad combination! Am getting to the bottom of tiredness...possibly anaemic and have sleep apnoea so trying to sort both - iron is easy but sleep is expensive as no clinic in Wales so will have to do it privately :( but may be able to do home assessment 9rather than sleep clinic -which is good and cheaper! Tooths ok though lol!
Chalky hope the clouds go soon...was thankful i had a hire car today as it was sweltering and the aircon was blissful!
Miol hope that the visit is a good one; nowt worse than feeling homesick and fed up!
Ironing yeugh! Thankfully mum doesent mind it so I cant complain as she also does the housework so my home time is quite relaxing! Mind just as well at the mo as feel somewhat zombified!
Have people got nice plans for weekend? Meeting best mate on sat and church stuff plus going to meet a lady who has sheep and lives locally!! v exciting!

    Hi everyone

I didn't get a chance to come back on here yesterday because our morning with our friends turned into the whole day! We sat outside in the sunshine drinking coffee and eating the cakes we had brought with us, and then the wine came out! Well, the rest of the day turned into a riot and we had the most fabulous time; I think it was exactly what DH and I needed and was a real break from working on the house. Of course, by the time we got back here neither of us felt like doing anything so we just had egg on toast and crashed out on the sofa. I did managed to walk down the lane to put the wheelie bin out, and noticed that our neighbouring farmer had mowed all the grass on our building plots - he's going to put some of his cows out there to help keep the grass down and to give them some fresh pasture. We're just happy that the land will be put to good use. The cows are lovely gentle creatures that munch all morning and doze all afternoon, so it will be lovely to see them out there.

ISOM - to help with the sleep apnoea, try snore strips first. They're just little plasters that you place over the bridge of the nose - they help to keep the nasal airways clear. You can buy them in places like Superdrug, Boots, and so on. If you find they really help, you can buy them in bulk on eBay for a lot less. Definitely worth a try! The anaemia should be fairly easy if you increase the amount green veggies and red meat that you eat. I know you can buy iron tablets, too, but ask your doctor first. I hope you can sort something out; there's nothing worse than feeling tired all the time.

Chalky - aubergines are really popular here. I must admit I'm not too adventurous with them beyond making ratatouille, so I will have a look at that link for recipes!

DH has almost finished tidying up where the barn used to be so I will take more photos when he's done. He's had to dig out some huge foundation stones, which have been a bit of a challenge, but the whole area is so much better to look at that it's been worth the effort.

The weather has been lovely here this week, so I hope it stays like that for Easter. I'm so glad that the UK has such a good forecast for the bank holiday weekend; I just wish I was back there to share it with the family - to me, there's no better place to be on a sunny bank holiday than the UK (as long is I'm not stuck in traffic, of course!).

Well, I can hear the birds outside singing madly. Our swallows are building nests in the barns, so there's a lot of activity out there at the moment. The blue tits and great tits are hardly feeding on the fat balls now, as they are nest-building; we can hear the local frogs having their annual orgy, and the crickets are out - whoever said living in the countryside was quiet?! I've also hung some old CDs in the conservatory windows to stop the newly-fledged thrushes flying into them. The year before last, we lost five of them; last year we lost one, and then I put the CDs up and we didn't lose any more, so it obviously did the trick. I just thought I'd get one step ahead this year and see if we can prevent any more losses.

Well, I hope you all have a great day.

    Afternoon all

    Another beautiful day

We got back on Wednesday evening after a lovely few days down at the caravan, the new pitch is a nice big one plenty of room all round. Took a while to clean the outside always does after the winter, but it looks nice and shiney now. O I do like caravans....OH is'nt so keen but I believe we're getting there ;)

I took 2 balls of chunky down with me and doubled it up with some pink Aran and some turquoise DK had a big ball of each when I wound it up. Knitted 1 hat on the way down and another on the way back.
Also took some half balls and did a pile of squares,I just have to crochet them together and do a few edging rows to finish off now.

I have done the washing but that's as far as it's got looks nice and tidy folded up in the spare room, really cant say when it will see the iron though :o

I hope everyone is ok I will go have a read back later

Time for lunch now cheese on toast I think...ooo I do love toasted cheese :)

Hello to everyone-- Hope you are having a relaxed and lovely day xx

Our little village is very busy with Easter celebrations-- The bands have been practising all week and I love to see the children dressed up in their " Sunday Best!" No market today because of the significance of Good Friday.Sadly weather still unsettled-- rip roaring winds today!!

Well I have had a lovely few hours revisiting SIBOL and Mrs Twins latest Challenges. Her work is truly inspirational. I have made 2 squares for the Winter Wonderland theme and am now having an arty dabble on the Carribean theme. Reall nice just to be making squares again!

[B]Pippa So gald you had a lovely time . We are home on May the 6th so perhaps we could arrange a meet next time you are down. It would be lovely to see you both again x
Kathy What a lovely day -- So glad x
Psso Hope greenhouse is blooming and little J is not helping with the potting up!!!!

Right I must stop eating the little chocolate eggs my friend delivered this morning and get on -- We are out for a meal this evening at a Mussels restaurant ! I love them but hope they are all fresh etc!

Love to all and the gentlest thought to all with their hands overflowing!
Try and do a good deed every day.
