afternoon all! Taken some toil (time owing) this afternoon and about to have a snooze. Tooth painful but manageable with painkillers...Miol its a 3 root tooth (upper left 6 to be precise!) so yesterday was trying to find the chambers and clean them out...he had to stop as time up plus i couldnt take much more as had already had 3 injections but still throbbing...apparently snapping the drill bit (which is thinner than a pin!) is common as tooth hard, drill fine when it gets that deep! Ill be ok and had advice from dentist friend who says its just settling which is fine! Just have to hope it doesent get infected!
very true seraphim, our socky does sound lovely online! As miol said the fact that youve taken the time to make things will make them extra special anyway - perfection ot required which is just as well cos my knitting leaves much to be desired!!
Chalky visitors! Bet youre excited...hazard of having a villa in a hot place! Maybe we should have a weeks knittery retreat!
right girls off to snooze I go or it will be too late!! hugs those that need them!

hi all, just back from a family meal out to celebrate both sons birthdays, they are 16 today, where did all those years go?
Seraphim, my knitting is neat, and i do my best at the sewing up, its not perfect but i do my best.
isom, hope the pain heals quickly
kathy, could you milk the cows save u going to shops for milk? :rotfl:
chalky, fancy tidying my garden? i'll keep u supplied with coffee and cake
thanks for everyones kind comments, my boyfriend, (seems strange typing that), is only 32 and is totally gorgeous, a real hunk, very muscly, very handsome, and very kind man, as i've known him as a friend for quite a while now. i on the other hand am 40, and could do better in diet and fitness department, as well as looks lol, plus i have two teenage kids, i still cant see why he's attracted to me, but he assures me he is, so i shall have to trust him on that, and take it slowly, (very very slowly), and see what happens
    hugs all

Shaz - I would if I could but they're bred for beef not dairy! And there's quite often a big bull in with them! Happy Birthday to both your boys! 16, eh? I found that to be quite a milestone birthday when each of my boys reached that age. Your boyfriend sounds wonderful and someone you so obviously thoroughly deserve, so please tell yourself that you are worth it! You are a great catch for him, too.

ISOM - it sounds as if you've really been through it with that tooth and I think you've done really well. Just look forward to when it's all over.

Well, off to start the dinner then think about starting a Mrs Twins square. I've had a lot of red tape to deal with again today, so I need something soothing to do!

    Hello everyone :hello:
Had a lovely time in gorgeous Dorset the weather could'nt have been better if we had ordered it ;)

Cant stop must go get a few jobs done just wanted to pop my head round the door and say a quick hello

Have done loads of my granny squares blanket that I started a few weeks ago, amazing what you can get done on long car journeys, I also want to get some wool sorted for the next Jan Eaton project from MrsTwins

Pippa -- So glad you had such a lovely time and some hooking too! x

    Hi Shaz
Try some Positive affirmation especially as you drop off to sleep. For example say to yourself at least 3 times " I am special and I deserve happiness and joy in my life!"
These affirmations work their magic on the subconscious mind and gently alter negative thoughts. Repeat the same affirmation when negative thoughts creep upon you in the day and gradually you will alter your perspective about your self worth and in turn feel more confident. YOU so deserve to be happy.
    Happy Birthday to the boys!

Kathy -- Glad bedding is orted out. I think the barn stoery has been particularly lovely. Can you imagine phoning/speaking to/ consulting a Mayor in the UK about bedding -- NAH! Lovely, just lovely!

Isom -- Be extra kind to yourself. Any dentistry is very stressful I think!

Seraphim--- A little one will be so comforted by your work and not give a jot if there is a wonky stitch in the sewing up!

Well today it was removing leaves from the nectarine tree which have got a leaf curl disease --- I think in the end it may have to be cut down but at least it has a chance.
Of course we had such a delicious lunch it is all so worth it! Baked Salmon - veggies and fresh strawberries and cream!

Well we shall be a bit busy over the next week but I will try and pop in when I can but take care everyone and have a crafty time!
Try and do a good deed every day.

    Evening all

In my quest (anxious one at that!) to get some projects done Ive had the stupid notion that bigger needles means more wool used and quicker finished -so in an "i need to get more done" anxiety stupor im pleeding for any simple quick ribbed etc patterned adult hats done on say 9mm needes and chunky or 3strands dk or the like - what do you all think?????? - Ive got mayflowers hat pattern 12 ply for sailors done on 6.5mm but was thinking going bigger needles/more strands

Now desperate plea over and sharp deep breath I can have a chat ....

isom - big big hugs hon oh my how i feel for you - hope pain is subsiding tonight- early night or veg infront of tv will be in order - take good care xxxx

sock-knitter - mmmmmm new man sounds dreamy - oh wow I think we are so much alike I did not realise you were 40 already (as you know im 39ish this year :rotfl:) - a very happy birthday to the boys - too old to send them a hug from Auntie F1????????????????? - now your description of the young man has made me all dreamy must be my age ! xxxx

As I read sock-knitters description of new man I think of my dear OH spread out on the bed snoring in boxers and a t-shirt !!!! hmmmm not quite the same but I would not swap him for the world - as he works such long hours whenever he is off he just lets go and does often go to sleep - he has been power washing patio today and took DS to cinema (saw HOP) - I now need sun glasses on as slabs are very bright

kathy - I love your posts re: life in France make me go all dreamy and calm - how are your neighbours? (sorry if ive missed anything!) - I hope they are not still thinking of going xxxx

chalky - ah ha - positive affirmations - someone spoke about those to me - I never knew what to say in my circumstance but I like the one you gave sockie and shall try this myself (if you dont mind) xxx

seraphim - well done on your projects xxxx

Im off to a) put DS in bed b) get DH off of bed c) make cuppa d) find ginger nuts e) pick up needles f) switch on tv and g) relax!

Night night all - happy dreams of yummy men (you know which one of you I mean:rotfl:) hugs and much love xxxx

    MANGO???????

F1 --- Oh I hope it helps-- You deserve so much happiness x

Does anyone have an idea how to find a pattern for a knitted/crochet( but I can't do that Arumigaru lark!) for a princess. She needs to be beautiful and approx 6 ins tall. Any ideas would be very gratefully received. Some with little ones may know where to buy one -- It's ages since I had to do any princess shopping.
Will put pictures of latest project on soon !:j
