I'm pleased I found this thread :) I've started knitting blankets for my local Cats Protection. They haven't specified a particular size so I've gone with dishcloths that I can knit together - I get bored with plain kit/stockinette so I'm working with patterns instead. This was my first attempt - the other two squares are plain stockinette with plain knit 'round the edges (haven't got a photo of the complete blanket though). Not sure whether to do another 2 squares to make a 2x3 blanket....I think a 2x2 might be big enough.

    Hi Seraphim

Love your little cat squares. I'm sure the cats will too.

If it were me I think I'd make blankets at least 3x3 to accommodate a cat. Mine used to be 5x5, but then I had quite a pampered cat!

Evening - boys are watching a re-run of Friday Practice of the Formula 1 - yes weekend life will now be dominated by watching the races as it is the first race of the season this weekend - as you see we work, sleep, watch, breath live F1 in this house :rotfl:(and the season goes on longer this year until nearly Xmas I believe!!!)

Welcome to our newbies - hope you enjoy it here - I love it

chalky - headbands??? crochet or knit? I did knit one a little while ago for adult in moss stitch - ideal for stash busting - just made width and length up myself - I thought moss stitch as it gave a nice effect

Am feeling very guilty this week over charity knitting as i dont seem to be getting very far this year - have not managed anything for Lou's challenge and have not sent parcel to shezmit in an age - must have a sort out of what I have already made and get some parcels off.

Ive had a thought for a boys item for boxes - will try it out and let you know - watch this space (dont hold your breath though as you know how la la i can be at times!)

isom - am glad you are having a few days break - will do you good - we dont want you in the same place you were last year - we do worry about you xxxx

right am off for dip in tub - laying back and having happy thoughts of what to knit (sooooo sad!)

Love to all - gentle thoughts and hugs to all especially those lurking, poorly or low xxx
