  • I have tried to get on here more often this last week..................failed, but the good news is that along with the other editors I have completed the PATTERN COLLECTION for Loving Hands and launched it this morning, just snagging today....and see how it all goes.
Chalky love the crochet tutorial.......I just may have to give that a shot, it certainly looks "eejit proof", so have added it to the pile of "things to try"

Managed quite a bit of sewing in between other stuff (sat in the TAX office for hours only to come away with what I am certain is the wrong bit of paper but the fella was adament it would be correct....will just have to wait and see

    UPDATE

    1 Hat to match

I am really pleased that PIPPAs brought that pattern buck up - I really do enjoy knitting it.\
Off for a quite bite to each, great love and cuddles and warm sunshine to you all.

    Hi everyone

It's been a busy day here, painting mostly, but we've been Skyped twice by DS2, the first time when the whole family were in bed (he has a Skype app on his mobile phone so can call from anywhere, and I had a guided tour of the girls' bedrooms!), the second time was this afternoon when DSD1 and his family were round there so I was able to see my whole 'production line' together! It made me long so much to be there with them; it won't be long now, I'm sure. The baby is really big and feeds all the time - she looks less delicate than Summer was!

Jean - well done on your work for Loving Hands!

Well, no crochet done at all today, and only a little bit done last night because yesterday was busy, too, and we just couldn't stay awake. DH reminded me about how we had the energy to dance the night away on a Saturday night many years ago; last night, all we wanted was a cuppa and an early night! That's what age does to you!

Anyway, thanks for all your lovely totals. I shall add them all to the update in the morning. The spreadsheet that Jean devised really is a doddle to do.

We've had a lovely sunny day here with blue cloudless skies - I hope it's been the same for all of you!

Thanks for all the good wishes about the baby!

We have just managed to get hold of Aunt Dorothy! She is over the moon about the little parcels that have arrived -- I think you may get a letter if you popped your address in. Thank you so much if you have sent. If you are still thinking of doing a little something she says " The purses are gorgeous but she has enough girlie things now and would love something for boys!!!" However, I think that little flurry will have made her day so please don't feel you have to join in.

I see the organisation the Samaritan's Purse which I believe to be linked with Operation Christmas Child is working on the ground in Japan.

Kathy -- How lovely to see all the family. I am sure that has made your day.
I totally agree about late nights!

Jean-- You sound as busy as ever I hope the form is right!

Thanks again and lots and lots of love to one and all x

Jean I have just been over to Loving Hands and that is amazing -- I think it is really inspirational. Lovely to have so many patterns in the same place

    Dear Kinsey
Thank you so much for taking the time to do the purses. That is so kind of you.

I have also done some extras but there is a lovely lady called Janet who is a co-ordinator of a large group of Operation Christmas Child Boxes and she makes 100 puppets a year. I know she would love the purses and they would still go to the same great cause

I am going to contact her for her address Would you like me to pm you her address so that they could still make a lovely gift for a little one at Christmas.
Or of course they could go directly to Operation Christmas Child.

But thank you again for supporting me. I am feeling a bit guilty as I should have thought that there would need to be a varirty of things needed. Aunt Dorothy loves the purses and her church does quite a few boxes but I guess they have to try and have to do equal amounts for boys and girls

Thank you again to everyone who has helped
    Have good days Linda
