Won't DDIL have a happy birthday mioliere, it all sounds lovely. I always give any other children something when there's a new baby too. Good to hear you sounding so happy, hope red tape is sorted soon.xx

Oh what a lovely day I have had thinking about little Isla Hope!
My nephew sent a picture of her just an hour old and there tucked up beside her was one of the little dogs I knitted as presents for the children at their wedding last May. I was thrilled.
Hope all well with little Megan too and love to one and all

Chalky - how lovely to have a photo of Isla and one of your lovely little dogs! Love the banner, too.

Well, DIL was hoping to come home today so I'm waiting to hear from them later on. I'm longing for some more photos and I especially want one of Summer and Megan together.

We have an appointment with the 'red tape' people next Wednesday which should bring us closer to sorting things out so that we can head for home. I shall just have to be patient!

I've been cleaning today (yawn, yawn - but it has to be done at some point, I suppose) so the day has whizzed by again. I went shopping to find a 'New Baby' card - the greetings cards here are pretty dire but I managed to find a lovely one in a really sweet little shop - at twice the price it would have been in the UK but well worth it!

I'm just finishing off Summer's present, then I shall make up a nice big parcel to send on its way to them all.

It's been really cool today but, apparently, the weather forecast is predicting better weather over the next few days. At least it's not freezing these days. I picked some lovely daffs in the garden which look really cheerful in the kitchen. I love daffs and only wish they grew all year round.

Anyway, DH should be home soon so I'd better get the kettle on.

May and Mrs MW - I am sending hugs to you both.

I can definitely feel one of my obsessions coming on!!!! DMIL is with us in Spain for a two week holiday and she loves me to sit beside her and do my Craftwork but also loves to talk all the time so I need something I do not have to think about and these little purses inspired by Kathy's pictures fit the bill perfectly!
Janet the puppet lady makes 100 puppets a year and my pile of purses is getting very high! But it is a brilliant way of using up the odds and ends of wool.
Thought you might like the link to the pattern I have written up for my blog!

Well quilt top and bottom done so now just got to baste it! Now time for some hookyness! Blanket to be finished. Managed to find a new recruit in work so just need to look out some wool, patterns and needles for her! She is about to retire so hoping that it will help her in the same way as it helped me when I was off...
    How are people doing today?!

    Hello everyone
Shelley-- I have got the needles out for DMIL and she is knitting you little premmie hats, so I will send a little parcel to you when we get home in May.

ISOM Lovely you have got a new recruit -- the more the merrier. Can't wait to see a picture of the quilt. Has the little one arrived yet?

Mrs Twins-- Lovely to see you posting--

Yes the pink wool will be out but I am completely hooked on the little purses at the moment as I can do them, cast on for Mum, chat about all her ideas/problems/neighbours/church etc etc. It makes me smile as it is a bit like one of the Alan Bennet plays "Talking Heads!" Anyway as I say she is clicking now which is great.

I keep trying to ring Aunt Dorothy but so far no luck -- obviously out gadding about!!! I want to hear if any little parcels have arrived so I can shout a Thank You from the rooftops!

Well I rang Dear Nephew this morning and baby Isla is home and making lots of noise!!!! Shame she was so late as I shall have to wait, like Kathy for a cuddle.

Lots of love to one and all

    :hello: Good morning

Had a great day out yesterday at the Craft show at Olympia, bought some sock wool and managed to find some 4ply for the preemie things, I like working with 3 or 4ply. Lisa from Lisa’s Stars was there so I gave her some of the wool J All of the lower floor was knitting stuff this year, lots and lots of the yarn to knit those curly scarves. The stands with the Knitted Art and Tea Cosies were amazing.

I love both of the new babies names. :)
