Anyway as so many have said 1 item made is 1 item sending love.
Well we are still in Bideford being spoilt- Quiet day today as work has called them both. So I am hoping to get the ironing done and then we are making Lasagne for tea> DS's favourite!
He cooked us 2 gorgeous meals from the Jamies 30 mimute meals book! He looked a bit hot cooking at that speed and last night he cooked Spice Sausage Goulash from the programme Something for the weekend I would definitely recommend it -- You can google the recipe and it was delish
DDIL is holding another Craft Fayre so I have been helping her to build up her stock again.
On the Charity front I am hooking little blankets for Lisas Stars so will pop them on to break my duck next week

boys carpets are now laid so hopefully furniture can start coming back in this week then normality can return, and i can get my wool back out of the attic.:T
life gets in the way of knitting sometimes and we all do what we can as and when. no one should worry they arent doing enough, just one item knitted with love and donated makes such a difference to the person who recieves it.
sending hugs to all that need them and welcome to any newbies.SPC~12 ot 124

evening all, notmuch knitting done today, dont know where the time went. took the boys shopping tonight, to meadowhall in sheffield, not my first choice as its a bit far, and too big for me, but both lads wanted to go, and to their credit they behaved well, and we managed about half of it. had tea there, jusk again, my kids managed to eat 2 pizza's each from pizza hut, 2 portions of fries, and 2 large fizzy pop, dont know where they put it. in their feet maybe? daniel is now a size 16:eek:, hope he stops growing soon.
the other day he ordered some bright red converse pumps which came today, they are hugs, and to be honest remind me of clown shoes:rotfl:
the meeting with ss, was a challenge, but we can deffo have 4 hours a week respite, and sw is coming to fill in forms with me on weds.
next child in need meeting is at end of this month, where we hope to increase the number of hours, tho if they carry on behaving as they have today, then i wont need them.
mrs mp, well done on getting all the work done, hope u get time to relax now
isom, hope your mum is feeling better soon
hugs all

Morning all - lovely and sunny but cold here - its DS's birthday today the big 10 double figures - I never thought I could bring him up to 1 let alone 10 - so I feel a bit emotional today tee hee - as he informed us at dinner last night he has only 8 years left of school which is a lot shorter than the time he has alive - although if he wants to fulfill his dream of being a tv cameraman me thinks he has a few years longer at college!
Sorry I have not been around for a week - the decorating and bit of spring cleaning took up all the week - DH was home which was lovely but we were busy - my family visit at the weekend was lovely but all too short - I had the priviledge of feeling my niece/nephew kick and move and went very gooey!
My figures are also appalling on the knitting front I really had better get my act together - I also will be doing some bits for lisa's stars but also see that our lovely shezmit is low on stocks as well plus i have my "40" hats challenge - I had better stop buying the wool and start knitting it - yes i have been very naughty with the spending
Im sorry I have not mentioned everyone but just skimming back I see things are looking brighter for some but for those that are poorly or low I send big hugs and loving thoughts - I also see some great photos (yes roamin the gowns are really lovely!) xxx
Oh well onwards and upwards am trying to stay positive (dont hold your breath :rotfl:)

Hi everybody -- Glad life is calmer for some of you -- and houses are getting back under control. Such hard, wool interupting work decorating or moving!!
Well we had a lovely couple of days up in Bideford - the sun shone even though there is still a definite chill in the air and an early morning frost!!
Will pop a picture of little blankets on later and also doing a few things for DDIL's Craft Fayre.
PPSO How is little J?
Shaz -- Glad of the respite hours.
Isom Hug for Mum
Kathy - Glad party went so well

May and anyone else with hands too full to post -- A special hello!

Little blankets for Lisa's StarsTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
Hi everyone
Chalky - the little blankets are gorgeous! What size are they? I love the colours you have used.
Shaz - I'm glad you were able to treat yourself to some pampering!
F1 - reaching double figures is a real milestone, for son and Mum! Please wish him a very happy birthday!
Well, I don't know where the time goes but it certainly seems to have whizzed by this week and it's only Tuesday! It's now less than two weeks until the new baby is due and I am frantically trying to chase things up this end. It may be that we can't go back to the UK as soon as it is born, like we did when Summer was born. When we first moved here we entered the French health system on an E106 which is what the Dept of Work and Pensions in the UK give you when you emigrate. It shows that you have paid all your NI contributions and entitles you to a maximum of two years under the French health system. Our two years has now run out and we have to get health cover via a different system. To do that, we have to have documents translated (officially) to prove the work we did in the UK, register at the French version of the Chamber of Commerce, then wait to get our health cover sorted out. It all takes time, even though we started it all off in good time; the French drag their heels all the time. We have our private health insurance set up but we still need to have Carte Vitales to get medical care. Without those, we can't get our EHICs which will cover us in the UK if we need emergency care. It all sounds complicated, and it is! If we were retired, we wouldn't have to do all this faffing about but, as it is, we do. I only hope and pray that we get in done soon.
Anyway, enough of that. I'm sure we'll get there in the end but I so wanted to see the new baby within hours of it arriving.
We are having trouble with our satellite dish here so I've been helping DH try and sort it out with him up a ladder and me dashing between two TVs with the remote controls and having to shout at him!
We've had the most glorious day here - it's cold in the early mornings and late at night but the daytimes have been perfect for the time of year, much better than this time last year.
Well, I'd better go and get the dinner started.
Have a great evening everyone.
