PSSO - he's gorgeous and tell him not to worry that he's not crawling yet. My DS1 didn't crawl until he was fifteen months old and didn't walk until he was two. I was worried and told the doctor who said he was just bone idle! Now he runs marathons and plays all sorts of sports so he found his legs in the end!

Krazy Kay - I hope your DH recovers well and that the op is a roaring success. It must have been a worrying time for you both.

ISOM - it was Chalky who suggested the blankets from the charity shops! Hope your Mum is doing well.

Yes, Chalky - I am a bag of nerves now every time the phone rings. Off to Spain on Tuesday? You've barely had time to get over your jet lag! Hope your plans go well and that you are soon in warmer climes! I hope you get to see the new baby before you go!

    Well, time for a cuppa!

    sorry miol read at work!
psso hes gorgeous - cant believe he has been here a year already! He'll walk when hes good and ready ...some are just savvy and know someone else will do it for them!
My friend S is also due any minute (EDD is today!) so were also on tenderhooks! Cant wait to meet the wee fella who is much loved already by lots of people. His mummy and daddy are very special people so with those genes he should be ok! like you miol I also like it when we dont know whats coming - we did a neutral blanket in case he was a she! I always think that they are so miraculous and such a precious gift!
Have had an intersting few days at work - certainly takes some adjusting working with teenagers! Thankfully my crafting keeps me sane though!
Has anyone heard from may of late? Just wonder how she is getting on?

Oh my I am in love all over again - J is just gorgeous and cheered me up no end today -now if your DD would like to do a deal I can provide one 10 year old already walking (although judging by the shouts for me to get things for him you would think otherwise!) and shall we say two bags of wool ?????

krazykay - fingers crossed DH makes a speedy recovery xx

I feel like a little ant with a big shoe over me today - have felt like it alot lately - feel a bit "railroaded" by others - I do wish I could speak up and say "err no" from time to time but its not my nature.

Anyway another Lisa stars little blanket nearly finished - did anyone see the BBC baby programme last night "23 weeks" - oh it was hearbreaking (that did nothing for my mood!) - those poor delicate fragile babies.

Anyway Im going to kick myself up bum and say tomorrow is another day and smile!

Love and hugs to all - yes I also was thinking of May only the other day and also K2tog (who always helped with my "la la" moments in the early days)

This is just to let you know I am not dead and buried under the patio (that we don't yet have) Janette DFD rolled up Wednesday and its was our intention to do sweatshop and knitting machine all day everyday, great plan and yes we are sticking to it. I am also in the middle of a "wee number" on Loving Hands whereby the patterns are all being collated and arranged then put on line this as you can imagine is quite some task, I ain't alone in it tho' and we are working hard to get it all finished and done - then we can do the snagging, so now you are all aware of why I have been POSTED MISSING. I can only just keep up with getting meals on the table and a quick scoot through my posts.
KATHY I see that you need new addition tot he spready and will be on that, if not today, then certainly before you do the update on Monday, not a problem its a 20 second job and its on my list. Check your LNB connections - if you can scrape back and then re-attach then Vaseline I am told????- don't know what that is all about
WEE J - just to let you know that your wee farm is also on my list and believe me it WILL be delivered in May when I see you for a HUMONGUS CUDDLES AND KISSING MONSTER TIME.
OK, I really do have to love and leave you all, safe trip to Spain Chalky - lovely warming/healing sunshine for you all and MIL will soon be tip top I am sure.
Back when I am able - I do know that Maytaurus when she is able is reading the forum, but I do pass on your wishes to her when I e mail her cos she needs to know that we do all worry about her.

We are feeling incredibly blessed this morning. We were in Christchurch New Zealand 6 weeks before the earthquake there and have woken up to the terrible news of the earthquake and Tsunami which hit Japan in the night. We were there 10 days ago. Someone was surely looking after us. We are so glad to be well and alive.
Try and do a good deed every day.

    HI there

Chalky - just glad you are safe and sound after the awful disasters that seem to have been so close behind you.

The earthquake and tsunami look truly shocking - I could hardly believe what I was seeing on the news this morning, and I hope and pray that the loss of life is minimal. What those poor people are going through right now just beggars belief.

Jean - slow down and breathe now and again, please! Thanks for being ahead of the game with the spready! We've been told to hose down the LNB (!) so will give that a go and, if that doesn't work, will get the Vaseline out! Thanks for the tip!

Well, DH is working today (outside the house for someone else!) so I have some peace and quiet in which to potter around - luuuurvely!

Afternoon all, hope you are as well as can be.

    f1 - Lisa`s stars ask for A4 - A3 size blankets so as A4 is roughly 11.5in x 8in and A3 is about 16.5 x 11.5 anywhere in between those sizes would be acceptable I would imagine.
Maybe the preemie size Sands blankets would do - they are about 12in square. Same pattern as the normal size Sands, just less rows before you decrease.

By the way DD says `Thanks, but no thanks` to your very kind offer of a 10 yr old and wool. :)

re k2tog and other MIA`s - was just thinking about her the other day as well when I saw a pattern she had posted on LH a while ago. Prfungi hasn`t been on here for a while either has she ? If any of you are lurking  hope you are well.

Chalky - your guardian angel must certainly be keeping a careful eye on you. Just hope the `natural disasters` don`t follow to Devon and Spain though .

Jean - hope you are keeping poor Janette well supplied with tea and biscuits or coffee and cake, you slavedriver. Machines will be smokin` :T.

ISOM - hope Mum is feeling a bit better today. These young `uns ;)will persist in trying to do everything in a rush. Sloooow and steady gets there just the same without the aches and pains.

Well, I`ve finished knitting the wee jumper with the detachable front panel and have started a second one. Will have to go shopping for suitable buttons though. Might go and have a look and see what`s on ebay. Not sure if I`ll go for all creamy colour like the background colour or if I`ll go more funky and have different colours like the speckly bits. Hmmm, kids like bright don`t they ??

Right, that`s my job for this afternoon sorted, surfing always makes me thirsty so I`d better go and get a cuppa organised.
    Have a good day everyone.
