Hi Kinsey -- yes they are tiny about the same size as an A4 piece of paper -- so sad really but hope they help when such a tragedy strikes.

Hi Jean - thanks for that. We've checked and we were already pointing in the right direction, but it's good to have it confirmed! It's a good site and I'll recommend it to others. I've posted on AngloInfo to see if anyone else has had the same problem.

Hope everyone has a good evening.

Morning ladies - thank you all for your good wishes for DS - he really is a lovely boy (even if i do say so myself) we had a lovely evening when he got home from school - so its "now Im 10......." all the way - if 10 years has gone this quickly how soon will it be before he says he is leaving home - I dread it !

ANyway I dont know how many of you use Ebay but I have just brought some "Baby Softspot" (never seen this before) from a user called Nairnsknittingworld79 - what a lovely lady - my order arrived
    really quickly the wool is really lovely - I paid 2.10 per 100g - I said I

other day I brought some James Brett from ebay - won on an auction
3 balls of a soft lime green and one cream I paid about 4.50 - just
found out it was 3.23 per ball at Abakhan! - I told you I had gone a bit
mad with the spending - must stop now

kathy - I do feel so sorry for you - if its not one piece of red tape its
another - I really dont know how you cope - I couldnt - you
deserve a medal - and if DH is anything like my DH paperwork/admin

Hi everyone from a beautifully sunny France (but cold early in the morning and last thing at night!).

I've been going through my stash to see what oddments I have that can be used for little blankets - Chalky, they seem so small but I read somewhere that Lisa's Stars also need hats for the little ones who don't make it, and that the Innocent Smoothie size is just right. It hardly bears thinking of, does it? I couldn't find a reference to the blanket size so thanks for letting us know. Your blankets are lovely and will bring a lot of comfort.

Well, believe it or not, DH had one last little bit of plastering to do in the kitchen; we had to wait until his brother (the plumber) came up last week and plumbed in the dishwasher, then the final bit of plasterboard was screwed down, and the very last bit of plastering is being done right now! I think it will call for a glass of wine later to celebrate!

Jean - despite our dish pointing in the right direction, we are still only receiving a few channels. I've asked on some forums and there are a few more things we can try.

Someone came this afternoon to look at the building plots we have for sale here. He was a very nice French chap who could be interested in buying both plots; he says he will bring his wife on Saturday afternoon, so we are keeping our fingers crossed. He loved the area and the peace and quiet (which is lovely but can sometimes get on my nerves - I miss the buzz of the UK!).

Well, I really feel that we are on 'standby' for the new baby now that it's less than two weeks until it's due. I can hardly contain my excitement and just hope that we can get all our red tape loose ends sorted out before long so that we can book the trip back. They have no idea if it will be a boy or girl which adds even more excitement!

Things are looking quite good for my BIL. His jaundice levels have come right down even though the doctors said last week that they had stabilised and wouldn't go any lower. He will be seeing the oncologist later this week to discuss the possibility of chemo but he's feeling so good that he doesn't really want it. He needs to find out what the long term prognosis will be with chemo and without it before he makes the decision.

Well, I think DH is due a cuppa so I'd better go.
