Good Morning everybody.
A thick frost here but lovely and bright.
We are off to North Devon to see DS and DDIL and their new house, so really looking forward to that. I wonder what lovely Crafty things she has been up to or has she been busy being "Dave" the builders mate!
I finished 1 little blanket for Lisa's stars and will do a couple more whilst we are away. Perfect for me right now as so lovely and simple. It always touches my heart that some poor people have to endure such sadness so just wanted to send a little parcel as I feel lucky to have my lovely 3 children.
So have good weekends everybody-- Shaz hope you have a peaceful one.
Kathy Have a great party.
Dpixie I so admire you working so hard with the French language. Brilliant.
Kinsey -Hope William is growing well . I bet he is a bundle of joy!
Jean Hope you survived the " monsters"
Love to all and gentle thoughts if your hands are overflowing.Try and do a good deed every day.0 -
Hi everyone
Chalky - have a lovely time with DS and DIL!
Mrs Twins - I'm glad I got my Royal Wedding squares to you! I'd have been panicking by now. Despite my good intentions, I still haven't posted my latest squares to you; our visitors have been 'making' me sit around the dining room table drinking lovely red wine from the south of France! They leave on Sunday so I should be back to my normal routine (well, as normal as it gets round here!), and I should be able to post them off on Monday.
Well, the weather here is really gorgeous today. The sun was up early and the sky is blue and cloudless. DH and his brother have gone down to the hardware store (the females declined the invitation to accompany them, on my part because the store very inconsiderately doesn't sell wool!) but they'll be back soon.
We are all systems go for tomorrow night's party; everyone we've invited is able to come so it will be a good evening, I think. Just have to make sure we have enough of everything so I will nip out to the shops this afternoon for a last shop.
Well, I hope you are all enjoying good weather - here it really does feel as if the winter is slipping back to where it belongs and spring is on the way!
Have a good day.

hello everyone, just a quick post as i have to finish packing - we are going on holiday (to look after my mil who is not too well).
chalkey - welcome back, and you must have square eyes by now, what a lot of catching up you have done! thanks for the support on the french, sometimes its a pain, especially when people don't slow down. but, i managed to open up a new bank account the other day all in french! it was a bit of a strain when it came to the hour mark, my brain was hurting, but it ended soon after.
kathy - have a lovely time with your family, i hope that you enjoy every second of it.
jean - i am rubbish at skiing, but i am enthusiastic (and have strong legs which enable me to do snow ploughs on very steep/icy parts) - you are more than welcome to come and visit and enjoy some of our snow, although my OH told me that the local skiing areas have received much more snow over the last week and all the runs are now open!
isom - only one G&T? i need a glass of wine 3 times a week, otherwise ... (let me think of a good excuse) oh, yes, otherwise i dont feel french - well i am going to stick to that excuse.
anyway, did i tell you that i received my perfumes from perfume parlour - they are fantastic, so if anyone needs/wants perfumes for a special occassion - these are perfume oils, they come in a roller ball container and they are very long lasting. i am ever so pleased with them, and even though they are not all exactly the same, they are so close that no one will know the difference. go on, treat yourselves - oh and they would make perfect fillers for home-made christmas crackers!
okay, i will leave you all in peace now, have a fab weekend and enjoy the next couple of weeks, will catch up when i am back

mrs-moneypenny - sounds like things are coming together nicely after all the upheaval. I know how you feel, I used to hate it when my 2 were off with the cubs or scouts but it was lovely to get them back bursting to tell of all they had done, and O the joy of unpacking their rucksacks, a dry week was ok, but a rainy one was
Shelley - another parcel on its way to you,

Morning all! Sorry been mia for couple of days - been busy doing patchworky stuff and making jewellry to sell for work. Decided that my charity bit for work will be to sell my bling for 50% so I cover costs. Our yp have so little that the amenity fund at least allows them a day out a year and a Christmas meal - things we all take for granted but when you dont have them...
for sewing people I found this site which is lovely!!alhough you can spend hours there!!
