Well, monsters were cowering in their shoes by the time the day was over (yeh hardly likely) but the did all behave. I managed a haircut while I was down on the coast too - NEVER AGAIN, they charge half a mortgage must be high prices because of the tourists who visit.
update - In case I forget
2 baby cardies
2 baby hats
2 christening gowns
stuck doing "little things" they fit in around all the other jobs going on at the mo. Love and cuddles to you all, will call back a bit later.

Hi all, sorry I haven`t been here for a few days again but `life` got in the way again
Failed miserably this week, but I did finish the shawl for my poorly American friend.
If you mean you haven`t anything to update for charity - you are not alone - I failed too - no update for me this week.
Been busy trying to suss out a pattern for a shrug which just refuses to come out right - very trying.
Also keep going back to the Lidl yarn which is similar to CanCan but it`s almost driving me to drink . Can`t make any headway with it at all.
Have the wee jumper with the detachable front coming along but I`m even having problems getting that right and it`s really sooooo easy- my brain just keeps getting fogged up and I make silly mistakes which is so frustrating. Think I`ll take up scuba diving instead - oh just remembered I don`t like water over my head :oso will maybe give that a miss :rotfl:. Maybe the cross stitch then? Hmm might have to get some new specs before I tackle that though, very fiddly.
Ah well the WIP`s will have to wait a wee bit longer before leaving the basket.
Have been busy elsewhere though, planted some gladioli bulbs in pots in the greenhouse and some perennials I got in Lidl earlier this week. Far too cold and wet in the garden so will give them a head start inside.
Snowdrops are flowering their pretty little heads off at the back door and the daffs are showing buds too. Roll on Spring :T
Hope you all have a good day/evening and will catch up with you later.

Hi everyone
First chance on here today. We've been clearing up after BIL and family's visit and, also, a very successful party here last night! It went really well and made us realise just how many good friends we have made since we came here. Some of them already knew each other and some didn't, but everyone got on so well it gave me a really warm glow inside! A little too much Vino Collapsio was consumed and I've had emails today reporting on hangovers so I think that shows that everyone enjoyed themselves.
Now that we've cleared up I'm going to do an easy dinner and sit down this evening with my woolly stuff. I've managed to do one Mrs Twins square but hope to get back into the swing of things from tomorrow.
WE've had gorgeous weather here for the last few days, which has been a real bonus with our guests. It is definitely feeling like spring. I hope it carries on - I now have a mountain of bedlinen and towels to get dry!
I hope you are all having a good Sunday.
My total for the week: Just 1 Mrs Twins square
Thanks for the totals so far; I will do the update tomorrow morning.

Thanks for the kind words, I was feeling a bit mean. Can anyone tell me how many posts you have to have before you can post links and pictures, please.0

anakat, think its 20 but that may have changed....don't ever feel bad because you have no updates, it's all cyclitic - some weeks there is tons of things done by loads of folk other times its nowt from no one.......its not a race, we just do what we can when we can, no matter what it is it's going to help someone less fortunate and that's what really counts..

Hi everyone
I hope you all had a good weekend.
Anakat - Roamin in the gloamin said it perfectly; please don't think this is a race. One item is as valuable as 100 so please don't feel bad if you don't make loads of things. We all have work and family commitments and we fit the charity-knitting in around those. Hope it's not long before you can post pictures!
Well, believe it or not, I've already done the update! You can find it by clicking in to my name at the side of my post, and looking for my 'homepage'. Please, please, please let me know if I've made mistakes - it's not unheard of, as Pippa knows only too well! Thank you for your lovely totals, and thank you, Jean, for making the update so easy to do!!
Mrs Twins - I have my latest squares ready to post to you later this morning. Let's hope they get there as quickly as the last ones did!
Well, our visitors left yesterday morning and phoned in the evening to say they had got back safely. It was a lovely week with them but also nice to get back to normal. I tried to crochet last night but just could not stay awake (nothing to do with all the wine consumed the night before, of course!).
I will catch up with all the posts later. I only had chance to pop in briefly now and again last week so I hope to catch up with all your news and spend some more time on here this week.
Have a great day!

Anakat please dont feel bad! If its any help last year I think I managed a total of 3 charity items myself and did at one point feel that maybe I shouldnt post here as others seem to do so much more than me lol!! As others have said one item is as precious as a hundred! Looking forward to picces..do you know how to do them?
Party sounds fun miol! Not the hangover though!
Takeaway sounds lovely socky! I live opposite one but thankfully resist much of the time!
