    Hi everyone

Pippa - have a good time!

Happycrafter - well done on getting a donation of wool! I don't have any links to wristwarmers in 4-ply but try Ravelry - there are loads of patterns on there, and also try Crochet Pattern Central. I'm sure someone will be along later who has the perfect 4-ply pattern. Ages ago I printed off a chart so that I could tell the UK crochet stitches apart from the American ones! I'll see if I can find it and post the link.

Just found this http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/2009/10/wrist-warmers.html- Attic 24 is a brilliant crochet site. There's directions for wristwarmers using a wool that the lady (Lucy) has described as somewhere between DK and 4-ply.

got a cute bootie pattern to try in my lunch break with some of the donated wool in the most gorgeous squishy light pink wool. I have to admit I keep going to the bag of wool, taking some out and hugging it! its all so soft and warm.

  • evening all, just a quick pop onloine as lads in bed now, and i'll be off shortly, they are wearing me out. been to the coast today, despite the rain and cold, 'rescued' 4 balls of lovely regia sock yarn, one pinks and reds, for me and other is green and greys, for daniel.
also bought daniel a sirdarfirst steps knitting book. he asked for it, he wants to learn knitting again, and picked the baby pattern book, as he wants to join in with charity knitting
he had a go at knitting when he was younger but gave it up. yesterday he spotted on this months simply knitting mag, there was a headline saying 'mens health', and there was an article about how knitting helped men with stress, depression, even adhd , so bless him, he is giving it a go.
that was a bit of a waffle lol
isom, hope the pain eases, til you get the rest of the treatment,
jean, ouch, hope your not too sore today
kathy, hope your friends find a way to keep their business going without it affecting there health.
    hugs all
    night night all

    Hi

Glad your tooth is getting sorted ISMO. My 13yr old has to have a root canal done in June.
I've decided that it's time to finish my WIPs so I've been busy doing that. I have a load of stash to work through as well and I'm determined to put that to some sort of use before embarking on anymore projects :-)
We've been caravan hunting. Got to get one before the end of May, as we've booked a camping spot at a Christian weekend away for a caravan lol. Seen one that was nice. A two berth one, but not sure if we want to opt for a slightly bigger four berth one, but haven't seen any yet. Looked at a couple on Sunday, but they were in bad condition :-( The good one we looked at has an awning with a sleeping apartment. Don't know whether to opt fpr that one, or keep looking ????
I'm going along to a knitting club on Tuesday night :-) It's the one where they did the 'knitted house' that has been getting lot's of publicity lately. I know some of the ladies there, so I'n looking forward to it. Shall be taking my mum.
Have a blessed and prosperous day. Hugs to all who need one ((((hugs)))) Love you all.

    A work in progress :D

Shaz - I'm sure the knitting will work wonders for your DS! The designer Kaffe Fasset (and he's a man) knits, and there are a couple of men who have crochet blogs, too. It will be lovely if he does some charity knitting, too; then he'll be helping others as well as himself. Well done to him.

Salome - good luck with the caravan hunt!

Mrs Twins - thanks for the update about SIBOL!

I've just come across this and wondered if any of you would be interested http://sarahlondon.wordpress.com/crochet-a-rainbow/ It's in a great cause. Once I've finished the Mrs Twins squares I'm working on at the moment, I will try and do a couple.

Anyway, helping DH do electrics now! Hope I don't end up with a new hairstyle! Seriously, he will do the work himself then a qualified electrician friend will be along later to check it; DH is very colour blind which is why I have to help, but I don't trust him when it comes to putting the main supply back on!

Re: my last post. It seems that contributors to the Crochet a Rainbow project are not sure how progress is going. They have a Ravelry group http://www.ravelry.com/groups/crochet-a-rainbow! so I think it would be a good idea to look on there and find out what's happening.
