Knit Your Square to Give Your Share - PART 4

I just typed a long post and it suddenly disappeared so I’m writing this in Word and saving as I go. That makes me so mad.
Anyway, I hope you are all well. I don’t think I came on here at all yesterday. I was helping DH in the morning and we had friends round in the afternoon, so the day just ran out on me.
Jean – hope your bruises are healed now?
DPixie – I’m glad you had a good time and that the sun shone. It must be lovely having skiing right on your doorstep!
ISOM – Aristotle is lovely!
Shaz – I do hope that help that you are entitled to materialises soon. It’s awful to think that the local authority will deny people the help they are entitled to.
Well, DH is taking up floorboards and replacing them with new, with my help now and again which is a bit annoying because I’ve been baking all morning and he keeps interrupting. We have to get the room finished because his brother and family will be here on Tuesday for five days and they’ll need a room to sleep in!
I’ve almost finished another Mrs Twins square but didn’t get far last night because I kept dozing off.
The sun is shining right now but it was a dull morning to start off with.
Well, I’m off for a cuppa.

Hi all
I am just learning to crochet (haven't done it since I was little) and was wondering if I could join you and give my "share"... My crocheting is really quite slow at the moment, I'm doing a scarf which is currently about 5 inches long, but I'm loving it, and I figure even doing slow projects for charitable purposes is better than doing none!0 -
Hi Pink Giraffe - of course you can join us! You will receive a warm welcome from everyone here! Scarves are ideal for charity items and, like squares, are an ideal way to practice and build up your crocheting confidence. If you go back to page 95 on this thread, and look for post 1885, it will tell you exactly what we are about, and you will find lots of links to things including addresses for sending your finished items. We all post our totals in red (makes it easier to spot when we do our weekly update!). You can find the latest update by clicking into my name at the side of this post and going to my 'homepage'. One of our girls, Roamin in the Gloamin, has devised a brilliant spreadsheet which lists all the items we make and who has made them, and she or I add the week's totals up and add them to the spreadsheet.
If you have any questions, please ask - we are all more than happy to help!

hi shelly, i have a big bag full of knitting for you, but never have a free day to wait in for a courier to pick it up.
think i'll split it into smaller parcels and take one each week to the post office, at least that way they will get to you, instead of sat here waiting

Hi everyone, and a warm welcome to Krazy Kay! Good to have you with us and I see you've already been very busy! Sorry to hear about your DH's health problem and I hope everything works out well for him. I will add your name and totals to our spreadsheet tomorrow when I do the weekly update. You'll find the spreadsheet by clicking into my name at the side of this post and going to my 'homepage'.
I hope you enjoy it here! If you haven't read our info, you'll find it on page 95 of this thread, post 1885. If you have any questions, just ask away and someone will always be along to help!
