    Hi all

Not done much charity knitting this week :o We had our 8yr old granddaughter last weekend, and she left a knitting list for me,:rotfl: (fliptop mittens, legwarmers for ballet, and a hat)

I am doing a (Freya Shawl, Ravelry) to send as a hug, to an online American friend who is very poorly.

Hi everyone and thanks for your totals! I shall add them to the update tomorrow morning.

Pippa - I've been making bread for years now; I've tried buying the odd loaf but we just prefer the homemade stuff. We've actually been disappointed with the quality of the bread here, so I've just carried on making it. As we have visitors next week, I've now got eight loaves in the freezer! It took a while getting the ingredients right, and then again when we moved here, but I've just got used to making it as one of my normal chores. The birds like it too, mainly because there's lots of seeds in it.

Well done on getting to your last UFO - I wish I could say the same! You and Jo have been really busy!

Mrs MW - I hope you are OK?

    Maytaurus - thinking about you.

Anakat - I had to laugh when I read about your granddaughter. My first granddaughter is 8 years old and she loves to have something knitted or crocheted for her! Have you tried teaching her yet? I tried with mine but we mutually decided that maybe we'd try again next year! When I do the update, I'll put your hooded blanket under 'Blankets'.

KInsey - most of it's in the freezer until our visitors get here!

Hope you are all having a good Sunday!

after far too many distractions this wee, tiny, crossover preemie cardigan is finished! Now making a start on the christening gown knitting pattern that I said would be my next project - hope that isn't going to take me as long!

Shoulder is still a bit achey but hey I am not complaining the yellow bruises are nearly all gone and I have learnt an invaluable lesson - don't run in the back garden after its rained.
Welcome to the new folks, see that there are a couple, hugs and cuddles to everybody, off to catch up on some of the postings

    UPDATE

    1 baby cardigan
    1 blanket square

Gonna try a bit harder for next weeks, but can't promise anything.

Jean - that cardi is gorgeous, and so is the colour! It was worth all the effort but I do hope your next project is a little less challenging for you!

Hmmm, it does seem to multiply when you`re not looking doesn`t it. I had to squish and squeeze it back into the drawers and cupboard after I`d decided what I wanted. Out of sight out of mind ;)

Been having problems trying to get a shrug pattern to work out so decided to have a complete change and go back to it later - maybe MUCH later.

This is the pattern I decided on and I`m using King Cole Bounty DK in Nougat. Can`t find a pic but it`s cream coloured with different coloured speckly bits through it.

Been one of those days, put whole chicken into oven noting time it should come out, also put chicken breasts in also noting removal time. Let dogs out to play in back garden as it was nice and sunny for a change and did a few rows of knitting while waiting for breasts to cook. Just as I`m going to take them from the oven there`s a knock at the door. Neighbour, young lad, standing there asking if I`ve lost my dogs ?? They`d been in his garden and had now run off down to the park at the bottom of the street. :o

Got them back and did a recce to see where they had escaped, choice of two places - hole been dug next to fence on one side so they could have squeezed through underneath, or fence panel shifted at the other side of the garden but they`d have had to reeeeeally squeeze through that one. Got the exits sealed so that hopefully the Houndinis can`t get out again, phew. Time of course had passed and I remembered the chicken had to come out  *&^$* I`d forgotten to take out the breasts - brainfade meant that I`d thought I`d taken them out when neighbour called but I hadn`t.
So now I have 3 very overcooked cb`s to try to do something with :( one thing for sure - naughty dogs will NOT be having them !!!!

Well done on getting the cardi finished Jean. Slow and steady gets there in the end ;) now get cracking on the machines girl !!

Off to do a bit more of the jumper.

Oops forgot to say Hi and welcome to Pink Giraffe and well done to KrazyKay for your first update since coming out of lurkdom recently.

Roamin' that little cardi is so sweet, and lovely colour.

psso I've spent many a frantic hour dog hunting, our last dog, a border collie was extremely clever at finding escape routes. Quite often he'd be home by the time I got back! Once I caught him actually climbing square trellis to get into next door's garden and out of their open gate.

ISOM I've got yet another cold as well, been a bad year for it. Hope you feel better soon.
