hi everyone from a snowy toulouse. its lovely out, the snow falling and us going for a walk and feeding the birds, the neighbours dogs and then the horses - i just love it.
decided that one sleeve would be one colour and the other sleeve another colour and the i would work both colours into the jumper. one of our neighbours came over and she had a look at the jumper and told me that she thought that one was the nicest!
jean - love your little jumper, that could actually tempt me into knitting again ... well maybe.
kathy - i love home made bread - i find the bread here so hard and crusty that it tears my gums - not a very pleasant sight or feel for me.
welcome newbies - how nice that we have more friends to chat to.
f1 - welcome back, nice to see you agian.
chalky - hello there, sounds like you had a fab time
socky - i am thinking of you and wish i knew a way to help. if there is anything i can do from far way, do let me know
isom - hope that you are okay and the tooth is better
may - thinking of you and hope to hear from you soon.
lots of love

DPixie - snow? In Toulouse? It's cool here but not freezing cold and certainly no sign of snow; we even had some sun this morning which tempted me to put the washing out on the line. I shall go and have another look at the sky now! I love the way you've rescued the jumper and would love to see a photo of it! We find all the bread here hard and it also doesn't last very long. Making bread is so much less wasteful and it's cheaper, too, plus the birds enjoy it!
F1 - like you, I'm panicking about visitors, too. Ours come tomorrow and DH is just finishing off putting a new floor in their room, despite me asking him to wait until after their visit. It means I can't get organised properly until that bit's done. Hope you are feeling less 'off' now.
Well, time for the kettle to go back on and I shall see if it looks like snow!

Just taking time out for lunch been so busy today, sent OH out to post 2 parcels, while I got on with housework and yes that did include the ironing
I bit the bullet and ordered myself a new phone online from Virgin on Saturday, it should be delivered today between 8am and 6pm,
Had it on contract this time so phone is free and lots of free texts and minutes also less than I was paying on pay as you go
psso - thanks for the link, the jumper pattern is really unusual with the removeable panel on the front. Yes I know what you mean I have one of those three drawer things on wheels and I stuffed so much wool in each drawer I could'nt open them
chalky - have a safe journey home, looking forward to hearing all about your adventures down under
f1 and kathy- sounds like you will have a busy time with all your visitors
dpixie - SNOW brrrr :snow_grin
jean - love the cardi what a nice blue I'll go have a look at the DK pattern, thanks for the link. Hows the christening robe going?
Shelley - parcel on its way to you
mrs-m - May -MrsMW - hope all is well x
I finished the blanket last night but think it needs another couple of DC rows around the edge, will do that tonight.

Hello all, just having a break from blitzing to enjoy a welcome cuppa. I`d forgotten what a thirsty business housew*rk is. Don`t do it often y`see
.
Sockky - hope things are more settled today for you.
dpixie - snow  way down there ?? Sunshine here, but still a bit on the chilly side.
salome - enjoy your caravan. We had a small one when the kids were little then had to get a bigger one as they grew. Had awnings on both and it`s amazing how much more space you have with them. Lovely to eat `outside` but be sheltered from those annoying little breezes which pop out of nowhere. Happy days.
f1widow - was going to say there is a DK version as well but I see Jean has provided the linkie already. Milky coffee is my treat to myself when I`m feeling a bit low. Home made skinny latte :T yum.
Speaking of home made bread, I once tried doing it and my dear departed`s verdict was `Great - make about a thousand more and we can have that extension built from them`:rotfl:You`ll have gathered it was not a great success.
Chalky - nice to hear from you. Lots of lovely stories to tell us when you get home I`ll bet.
Well, back to the grindstone I suppose. One day I will have a tidy clutter free house - well maaaaaybeeeee.;)
Cheers m`dears,

afternoon all, had a lovely relaxing aromatherapy massage this morning, and if i ever needed one badly, today was the day.
still feel like my head is going to explode, with issues and feelings from yesterday.
on a positive, my friend who is helping me with social services, has rang, and at the meeting they are going to offer me 4 hours respite per week:Ta step in the right direction at last, lets hope its sorted out soon.
all this talk of a milky coffee, made me want one too, so just made one while i type, then i'm going to sit for a while and do some easy knitting, nothing too complex, my brain cant handle it today.
cold and damp here, but at least we've no snow:j
one child at school today, other goes back wednesday(inset days)
might make an attempt on housework then, ironing pile is way too scary lol
hugs all

Shaz - four hours a week is better than nothing but I would hope that it leads to a few more, especially as you have twins. Still, it's a good start and it will be lovely to be able to look forward to it. Will that continue in the school holidays, too? If they haven't said so, I would ask. Your friend sounds like a lovely lady and I'm so glad she is there to help. Who knows what else you can achieve between the two of you? Enjoy your knitting this afternoon - the one thing that can be said about using your hands creatively, whether it be knitting, crocheting, sewing, painting, or whatever takes your fancy, it can be so soothing.
