f1widow - please don`t mention that RCC yarn and curly wurly scarves in my company pleeeeease.
Bought some of the Lidl version and it`s almost driving me to drink:o
Can`t get to grips with it all as I posted on LH.
Not keen on big plastic needles to start with and I can`t watch the telly (not that there`s much on anyway) and it`s such a fiddly faff to do, well I think so anyway, so it`s now at the bottom of the wool mountain in disgrace.
Just popped in to say thanks to Purpleteddybear for the links.
Saw the Kemps one but wasn`t too sure how it would go with the dresses. DiL2B has now decided on cadbury purple for adult bridesmaids so have sent her the link to the ice eyelash in purple to see if she likes that instead. Bit more colourful for the girls.
Thanks for your help.
Off to bed to read a few pages and hopefully will sleep better tonight. Been having quite a few sleepless nights so maybe tired enough to sleep through tonight.
See you tomorrow. Ooops later today !!

F1 - it was always "bring the BREAD KNIFE" AAAARRRGGGG
After the Loving Hands/Tommy Tippee Christmas tree boobies, its been suggested that we do some EASTER BOOBIES...well, here is my starter...2 fried eggs and one scrambled with lots of tomato sauce on it. Perhaps I should concentrate more on my sewing and leave knitting interpretation to more skilled knitters.
THIS WEEKS UPDATE
3 BOOBIES
now on week FOUR of the little preemie cross over cardie - what am I like?
Love and light to you all

hello there ladies
another lovely day here in the south of france, although it is windy. we have finished one of the two banks of lavenders, so the job is now half done, thank heavens. i now have to go and pick the heads off the lavenders on the other bank before chopping those down, hopefully that is another job that can be finished today.
we are going to invite the neighbours over for apperitifs later, not sure if they will come, but if they do, it means a quick tidy of the house (especially the sitting room, which is full of crochet stuff - boring job, but i will have to do it). i was thinking of making some nibbles, and really fancy some cheese straws - anyone have a good recipe for those? i will have to use french cheese, but if you have a great recipe, please let me know.
other than that, jean, love the easter themed boobies - they made me laugh - the third one really looks like scrambled eggs and tomato sauce!
kathy, hope that you are okay.
f1 - sorry to hear about your fil, so sad, my mil's other half has the same, and the medication that he is on has horrid side effects - he has grown "top heavy" and his hands have swollen so that he struggles to carry anything, and if you knock one of his hands by mistake, he shrieks in pain - its so sad, but he deals with it very cheerfully - he is a gentleman!
right, time to go and do some gardening before i work out how best to get some more wool as the cupboard is nearly bare and my local lidl's didn't have any wool left!
have a fab weekend

Hi all, Saturday again - where does the time go ?
Anakat -my local Lidl didn`t have any baby wool so can`t help there at all. Maybe just try doing a hat or something to see how it looks, doesn`t really matter about size as babies come in all sizes and it would fit someone somewhere. What colour is it ? Would it be suitable for a full term sized baby or toddler jumper/cardigan as lots of places can use normal sizes as well. Hats of all sizes are always needed too and any colour is fine.
Well, once again TROUBLE is a-knocking at my door. Family stuff which can`t really discuss `in public` but it`s enough to make me wish I`d never bothered having kids !!! Yep really as bad as that. Unfortunately they are too big to skelp their backsides and tell them to behave and play nicely, so I think I`ll be keeping as low a profile as possible for a while and hope it blows over soon.
Baby minding mode for me this weekend as DD is helping Dil2B with hair and makeup for a show in the local art centre so far too busy playing to do knitting. Only on here just now as he`s having forty winks and I`m having a quiet cuppa. Might manage to do a few rows tonight though.
Hope you all have a good weekend and (((hugs))) to the poorlies and those poorly rellies too.

Hi everyone
I hope you are all OK. I've been faffing around with the computer and, with advice from someone on the techie thread, I've downloaded Opera 11.01 as my internet thingy. I just couldn't sort out Firefox and it was driving me to distraction. I hate the time that it takes to sort these things out, especially when I don't know what I'm doing! Anyway, I'm up and running now but still have to get used to Opera - so far it seems good and a lot quicker and, best of all, it doesn't keep crashing on me!
It's been an irritating week and I shall be glad when next week starts!
Jean - love the jugs! Very inventive and perfect for Easter!
F1 - so sorry to hear about your FIL.
Elaine - hope things sort themselves out for you.
DPixie - well done on working so hard on the lavender. Hope this evening goes well!
For all of you who are unwell or anxious I send lots of hugs. I'm so sorry I haven't been around much this week but, now that I have a reliable way of getting online again, I hope to catch up with you all, starting with reading the posts for the last couple of days!
We've had rain here this morning and sun this afternoon. The last three days have been lovely but the forecast if for cooler weather next week. Looks like February will be a contrary month for weather!
