Morning all - ooo first on - got DS ready for school and hoovered and tidied up - have my neighbour coming for the day(ish) - she is staining her floor and cant be in the house once she has done it - so i invited her here for the day - we can knit and natter together - I have a couple of WIP's so we will see.
I have not admitted yet to my latest project - hmmm - well neighbour as i have said has wool - she deals with Rico - has some pattern books for them and I saw a lovely (easy!) poncho jumper - anyway Ive brought the wool from her and have started this - I promise i will photograph once done - it will be my first "grown up" project for myselfbut feel guilty as whilst Im doing this im not charity knitting.
Jobs this week are:- the biggest pile of ironing and washing you have ever seen - more cards for craft fair - sort out my cardmaking stash - list some things for sale on ebay - set of drawers in spare room (also tidy spare room as it has become a dumping ground!) - do you think im gonna get that lot done - I think "Edna" might pay a visit and put paid to that lot :rotfl:
Hope the poorlies and those feeling low are better - love to all J xxxDebt Diary: Im not going to be an Ostrich anymore -LBM - 16/1/12 /0 -

Ahhhh, That`s where she`s gone - thought Kim & Aggie had swept her into a corner !! Join the tyre probs club Jean, had to blow up mine today and one is rather em.......less than legal tread shall we say?? bloomin` bald - and having MOT done tomorrow  so guess who will have to part with some dosh.
Slooooowly getting through the piles of stuff in bedroom, 5 bin liners ready for the skip, 3 carrier bags full of mags for recycling, clothes actually hanging in the wardrobe and put away in drawers again. Can`t quite remember what the carpet looks like but I have vowed to have it all sorted by the end of the month, so a few days to go yet.
Had to take DD and Little J to a birthday party yesterday so spent some time browsing around Dunelm mill. Not a good idea as I remembered I needed those buttons and blow me, 4 balls of wool jumped out at me. Bloomin` cheek though, I had a look at the prices and they were £1.45 & £1.65 (2 different types) but I looked at my receipt when I got home and I`d been charged £1.75 each  I know it`s only 80p but it`s the principle.
Well I just stopped for a cuppa and now it`s finished I`d better get on with some more sorting - boy will my halo be shining when I`m finished :A
Bye for now,

Hello to everyone. I would like to just say thanks for your support and kindness over the last few days. There's a small dog shaped hole in my life still, and will be for a long time. Poor Oscar (extra large springer spaniel) is obviously missing her as well, so I'm trying to make him feel better, but he's 12 1/2 years old (we got him when he was 7) he's got set in his ways, poor old love. He's laying in her basket as I type, spilling over the edges of course.
On a happier note we finally got to go and see grandchilren yesterday, postponed from boxing day. They are both such delightful children, and William is the happiest baby I've ever seen, always laughing and obviously adores his big sister, who keeps a very motherly eye on him.
Love to everyone. xxx0 -
Hi everyone. I think Edna must have a twin sister who has been bothering me all day! Things have been really busy and hectic and this is the first chance I've had on here all day!
Kinsey - there will always be a place in your heart for your little doggie friend; they become so special in our lives, don't they? I'm glad you had a good day with the grandchildren.
Jean - hope your day got better eventually!
I have heard from my sister and the news is the best so far. BIL's jaundice levels have dropped quite dramatically over the weekend, and it looks as if he will reach the magic number this week and then chemo can start! As you can imagine, we are all thrilled to bits. He doesn't even feel ill at the moment, and is starting to enjoy life more. He's eating and sleeping well, too, so it's the best thing we've all heard for ages. As icing on the cake, their eldest granddaughter won a gold at judo at the weekend, and is being talked about as an Olympic hopefull!
Anyway, for now I must go but I hope to spend more time here tomorrow. Friends have phoned to say they will be calling in in the morning but I will try really hard to get the afternoon to myself!
Have a lovely evening.
