    afternoon all

Just having a quick break from cooking Lunch, my friend Jan rang earlier and sounded so low I said come for Lunch and we can have a chat.
Her OH had a lump removed from inside his head last year, luckily it was'nt malignant but it was such a big operation and quite risky, it had spread to the back of his right eye, he was warned he may be paralysed on one side or he could lose the sight in his right eye, thankfully everything turned out alright, but it will take a year before he will get the all clear and be able to drive again.

Jean - yes it has gone so quickly, we went over to see him Friday night and he took me by the hand and led me outside to show me Mr Moon "he shinin nanny" he said, well I just gave him a great big hug he is so gorgeous :)

Had a bit of a disaster last night I dropped a stitch in the Diva shawl  had to unpick some of it...lots... took forever but it looks ok now, thank goodness.

off to sort the roasties out now

:wave:ISOM I just call it the Diva shawl, it's the one from the "Divas dont Knit" book mrs-moneypenny and I read last year. I never noticed the link but mrs-m did and she posted it a few days back.
It's all about a knitting club and the shennanigins they all get up to.
Bit like us lot really but in the flesh so to speak :rotfl:

I will post a pic when I eventually finish it ;)

ISOM - oh I thought you were collecting foil tops like we used to do for guide dogs for the blind. Will save you my plastic carton tops (every little helps!) and perhaps we could ge the in-the-flesh knitting group onto it as well!
    UPDATE
    1 cat blanket
    25 blanket squares

Have to confess that blanket squares are all different sizes but they will be used for a charity blanket in the end!

Evening all - very productive day - finished DS room off and had a good clear out in there - just his other toy cupboard to sort now - did not realise there was so much of no use now - its also amazing how quick they dont want "toys" anymore - I think its quite sad. He is very pleased with his room - I think he feels it feels quite grown up - did not cost much either - 6.00 reduced Delux paint - 9.00 curtains argos sale - bedding was a christmas present - I have promised at the end of the month he can have a Union jack rug to go with his bedding - so all nice a new feeling in there and tidy (not for long mind you!)

Have done the ironing for work/school for week - DH fixed the dishwasher door and other jobs needed doing - dinner and tea cooked and cleared away

I have two big boxes to ebay already and thats just from doing DS's room - oh my ;)

Am off to take some glass bowls I have going begging to my neighbour

Love to all - hope you have had a pleasant sunday - J xxxx
