Congrats Shez and your Mum on the abseil - bet you got a heck of an adrenaline rush!
Congrats also to Nanny Kinsey - fantastic news!
Glad to hear your willow will resprout Kathy, it's beautiful - looks just perfect for sitting under and crocheting. How exciting to be meeting Chalky. I have a feeling that Mr Mioliere and Mr Chalky may well roll their eyes and retire to the garden with a cold one when you two start nattering about woolly stuff :D.
ISOM, dress looks lovely - a gorgeous choice seeing as you are fortunate enough to have the (ample, as you put it;)) bosom for it. 'T'would be billowing around my chest region :(.
You're on the slippery slope now Jaqui - online wool purchases *makes that funny noise mechanics make when it will cost a fortune to fix the car* :T
Pippa, hope MIL is feeling better, it sounds like you are really busy.
Mrs Twins - blankets look lovely. I will get mine off to you soon but stuff keeps getting in the way :o
Hugs to all I may have missed (sorry, it's late and I definitely need beauty sleep) and all those who want one.

Hi everyone - hope you are all well. I'll pop back later but just wanted to thank Clyndu for her kind offer. I already have that book but I'm sure someone on here would be grateful for it. It's very kind of you to offer it to us on here! Many thanks.

I woke up late because I didn't sleep very well - do you all think I'm panicking because Chalky will be here tomorrow?! I so want the place to look its best but the willow tree has cost us two days this week.

Anyway, I'll call in later when I'm a bit more organised!

Hope you all have a great day.

Just popped in to say hello and to thank clyndu :T I love the Bazaar books and have used that one for many years. I am sure someone on here would love to take you up on your kind offer.

kathy - glad to hear all the tree debris is now cleared, such hard work is'nt it clearing up afterwards? Yep you might be panicking a bit, but its only nerves bet chalky feels the same, but you will be fine and have a great time. ooo I think it's so exciting to meet up.

ISOM -Hummingbird chocolate brownies oooo they sound yummmm
    making my mouth water

We ordered a new freezer and washing machine on Friday and they are being delivered tomorrow morning between....7am and 10am, have been meaning to get them replaced for ages. The washing machine is making suspicious noises  mind you it's 14yrs old, and been well used, certainly has earned its keep:rotfl:

MIL seems to be getting better all the time so we are hoping she will be out next week,we have a day off from visiting today as BIL is going.
I have so much to do I just don't know where to start

Hi MIA's :wave:hope all is well with you

    Have good days all

Hi everyone, hope you are all well today. Past week or so has been a bit difficult here, but heyho just have to deal with it. :(

Had a quick skim through to catch up again.

Kathy - shame about the tree but at least nothing damaged and no-one hurt. You may find that when new shoots start to sprout you won`t see the damaged bits.

Yippee that Chalky and DH will be visiting - give her a big hug from me. I`m sure you`ll get on like a house on fire and be yakking away 19 to the dozen. I must admit I wasn`t too sure what to expect when I was going to meet Jean - but she was just as I`d imagined she would be, friendly, chatty and as daft as me. Maybe cos we`re both Scots ?? Could have blethered for aaaaages but DD had to get home for a night out :p

Wouldn`t it be great if we could ALL meet up somewhere ---oh hurry up and get that knitters retreat on the go. :j:j Oh crocheters too :D

Kinsey - congratulations on the new family member. Hope he brings lots of joy to the family.

Mrs Twins - lovely blankets. I have a few sitting here, must get them posted to you. Have to get the `ooomph` from somewhere first though as it all seems too much of an effort sometimes.

Not very nice weatherwise here today, very grey and overcast and a cold wind. People down the street had on their coal fire last night  - thought it was supposed to be Summer - might think about that myself tonight as it seems cosier than just turning up the radiator.

Oh - have to go. Been told that we HAVE to go to Asda, apparently we need essential supplies (loo roll and baby milk :rotfl:)makes a change from chocolate !!!

    See you later.

    Bonjour everybody!!

Well we have travelled up through Spain through the Pyrenees and now we are about 2 hours away from Kathy's!!!! It has been raining so hard all day but we saw the funny side of it -- just !! We were supposed to be camping in the Sunshine Bus but it is so wet that we gave up and came into an Ibis Hotel just off the rod and its got free WiFi so I can catch up with you all !! Oh and Mr Chalky can watch the footie!!!

Well I have just skimmed back through the posts and what a lot of news--

Kinsey-- Congratulations on the safe arrival of William - What wonderful news. You must all be thrilled.

    Pippa,Isom,Shelley, Mrs M
Hope all the mums and dads feel a little stronger soon

Sorry also for all who are suffering from headaches or generally have your hands full. Big gentle thoughts coming your way PSSO

Well Doh is laughing at me because I am getting so excited about meeting Kathy and her DOH --- Yes, I expect the men will beat a hasty retreat if things start going knitwise or purlwise!!

Thank you to you all for all your shared excitement -- Wih we were all having a jamboree!!
I too am sure are going to get on like a house on fire. I am so looking forward to hearing the voice behind the "words!"

So I think we will probably be with Kathy at about midday so think of us then !!

Well we have travelled about 850 miles so far and I have hooked about a similar amount of wool -- or it seems like it !! I was having to work quickly as I had said " Oh we won't need the quilt -- it will be far too warm!!! " Wrong-- Its been so cold today. I had vision of all the Lapacuddlies patched together on the bed in the Sunshine Bus tonight!!

So I must email Kathy to assure her we are the least fussy people ever etc,etc to try and stop her worrying or else she will be up all night I fear, instead of the usual early hours!!

I am sure Kathy will report back after our visit with all the gossip and I will pop back when we next have Wifi.

Mrs Twins your blankets are so beautiful-- Sadly I acn no longer visit your website as it says it has content which might harm my computer!!!!! Are you waving your hook around!!!

Take care everyone and we will be home on July 1st when I will be delighted to strart Operation Stitch Up Part 2 !!
Try and do a good deed every day.

Ooooh Chalky, you were cut off in your prime !!!!!!
Hopefully you`ll get back to edit your post or we`ll be left in `suspenders` waiting for your news.

Glad to see you got the rest of your post done :).

Babysitting duty tonight so hopefully I`ll get some more of my Sands border done - if he sleeps for a while.

Hi everyone - well, Chalky is now just a couple of hours away! I'm getting excited and nervous at the same time and trying to clear up after DH's latest bit of work in the kitchen. I was just about to start the dinner and DS2 Skyped so we spent almost an hour gazing at little Summer! She's ten months old now and toddling like a professional - I just hope the little dress I couldn't resist when I went shopping today fits her. French sizing is very small, so I went for a couple of sizes bigger. Now I want to look for a little shrug to crochet to go with it, for her birthday in August.

Anyway, I'm waffling - I've just remembered I must sort out the squares I've made for Chalky - I do hope she has room in the Sunshine Bus! She's right about the rain and the cold - it's been a horrible few days here but the sun is shining now, so I'm thinking she has brought it with her all the way from Spain.

Elaine - I hope things are a little easier now.

Well, think of us tomorrow, hopefully gassing away as if we've known each other all our lives!

Hope you all have a lovely evening.
