Hi all
Well, it’s sunny here and I’ve managed to get my washing out and blowing a bit. I can’t believe it’s November on Monday already.
Kathy, still no kitchen. Well, it’ll all be worth it when you’re finished.
Maytaurus, hope you are feeling a little better every day.
Smiling ducky, hi and welcome
F1, I so hope that your move goes well.
prfungi, that's a lot of moves, you must have nerves of steel!
Chalky, going back on the 9 Nov, that seems to have gone round so quickly!
Sock knitter, hope you’re ok , look after yourself.
Mrstwins, the Christmas blankets are amazing. What joy to receive one of those.
No update again from me this week, been busy trying to sort out some of the accumulated junk in the shed while the weather has been fine. I have stuff that needs sewing up, so will get round to that soon I hope.
Thinking of all the mia’s, hope you feel better soon. Love and hugs to everyone

Once again its very quiet on here--- Lots of loving gentle thoughts to all those with their hands overflowing
May Hope by now you are beginning to feel a little stronger-- don't forget we love it when you just say "Hi"
Shelley --- Early days -- so sending lots of love
Well I am saying this in the tiniest whisper --- but Christmas is done and dusted as far as cards and presents are concerned. What a relief, as we get back to the Uk later this year and the thought of starting on our return would be horrible. Of course I have the immediate family to keep crafting for and Buster Boy of course but everything else is done. I did suggest to Dh that we decorate before we leave then all will be ready apart from the tree on our return but he thought I had seriously taken leave of my senses!!
So on our return to Spain I will get the magic carpet dusted and we can all think of where we want to meet up with the bus!!
Just going to settle down to an evening of Strictly, X Factor but more importantly Roddie with Peers Morgan
Have good evenings everybody and love to all

Hi peeps,
We have been sooo busy the last few days, here there and everywhere. Worn out again now
Managed to book up for my birthday meal, had to do it early as it has to be on a Sunday so everyone can get there. It's at the golf club where my Niece had her wedding reception.Lovely place and the food is good.
Must tell you I had an assortment of broken jewellery, all gold not chunky stuff just thin, couple of bracelets, lots of earrings, broken chain and a ring.
So we went down the Jewellery Quarter out of curiosity really.
They had been in my box for years and I do mean years, from the 70/80's.
Well top and bottom of it is when she weighed it all it worked out to....£132..... I know... can you believe it, and I was going to chuck em in the bin, she told me NEVER throw gold away however fine or damaged it is as it's always worth something. To say I was pleased is an understatement :j
I have spent 2 hours this PM sorting my wool out and putting away the bag my friend gave me on Thursday, there are 3 furry half balls there so I will either knit them all up into a scarf or do hedgehogs or edgings for wristwarmers maybe.
ISOM - so glad the blanket arrived, I meant to let you know but my memory lately well,
Jean - sorry wont mention them again,I could sent you some if you like:)
psso - yes it was, trouble is they are very moreish dont you think;) talking of socks,I thought the same as you all black but how come they all go through the machine at the same time and still come out a different colour, did solve the problem of odd ones though I bought one of those small net washing bags and stick them all in there
chalky - That's come round quick, but how lovely to get out of this awful winter weather.Glad to hear DD is ok
Pol - sounds like your shed is the same as ours, however much I try it still gets crammed with rubbish
Shaz - hope you are feeling better now, how are the boys?
Shelley and May (((hugs))) for you both xx
We have BIL/SIL and BIL2 coming tomorrow to go through the last of MIL's things, have a feeling it will be a very traumatic day.
We are all going out for a meal when it's all done.
Off to the sofa now to do some more on the mobius
enjoy the rest of the evening everyone

Hi everyone
Well, where did yesterday go? I spent the morning food shopping and, (yawn) ironing, and in the afternoon we went out with friends of ours to our favourite city, Niort. It was a little cool but still nice enough in the sun to sit outside our favourite cafe and have some of the most delicious coffee I've ever had. We had a lovely mooch around the shops - a bit of window shopping in the really expensive ones, and a bit of purchasing in the not-so-expensive ones. We found a lovely second-hand shop and I bought the most gorgeous coffee set - I'll take a photo of it later; I'm so pleased with it and wonder who on earth didn't want it! Then we came back here and I cooked up a huge spaghetti bolognaise, followed by a homemade cheesecake, followed, of course, by proper coffee in my new coffee set! Although, typically, the cups are so tiny so we had to have two each!
It was a lovely afternoon and made us realise that, sometimes, we really do need a break from all the renovating. The friends are very good friends, and spending all that time with them just ambling round and chilling out, enjoying food and wine and each others company, was like a fortnight's holiday to us. As I said to DH, we need to be doing more of that, and it will be so good to get the last bits done on the house so that we can. Anyway, another day like that is planned before Christmas, and we'll do lunch out, too, so I'm really looking forward to that. The only downside was that I missed the first half of Strictly but that's a small price to pay! Our friends will have missed the first half of Merlin, I think, while they were driving home, so we all had a sacrifice to make!
The weather has actually warmed up quite a bit here which is a relief after a cold week or so.
Shez - I wish you well on Tuesday. It will be a very sad day for you and your family and I will be thinking of you.
Chalky - hasn't the time whizzed by? It seems like yesterday that you were on your way TO the UK and now it's almost time to go back! I do envy you being able to go back home for Christmas, though. That's all I really want for Christmas - to be back home in the UK! I'm missing the family more and more as the months go by here. TBH, I'm not really settling here as much as I had hoped I would, and another French Christmas is not something I'm really looking forward to. It's almost a non-event here, there's much less choice in the shops when gift-buying, too, that I find it quite frustrating, and even less choice when I'm trying to keep the postage costs down! Anyway, I'm feeling a bit down about it, so I'd better think of something else!
Mrs Twins - the latest blankets are gorgeous, as usual! Beautiful squares and put together brilliantly. I bet you can't believe the response, can you?
Pippa - well done on doing so well with your gold! That's a great result, isn't it?
Elaine - the urge for Caramac seemed to disappear when we were in the UK, because I forgot about it! I did have a Flake, a Bounty, a KitKat, and half a bar of Cadbury's Dairy Milk, though - not all on the same day, of course! Now, though, I'm thinking about Caramac again!! This talk of sweet stuff has reminded me - I must sort out a bowl of treats for Halloween tonight. OUr neighbbours' little girls (well, not so little now - 11 and 7) will be round to scare us as soon as it gets dark!
Shaz - hope you are feeling better now and that everything is well with the boys, too.
Jean - if I see Maltesers in any of the supermarkets here, I'll let you know! I hope you are finding time to catch your breath these days.
ISOM - your new wool sounds lovely. We would love to see a photo of it, of course, and what you make with it!
Kinsey - love the sound of a chocolate chain gang for us all here in France!
Pol - the kitchen is coming on and I can use it like a proper one - it's just the final bits that need finishing now but, as DH is supposed to be working elsewhere next week, I'll have to wait another week before we can declare it finished completely!
Well, I'm off for a shower so I'll catch up with you all later.
Hope you have a good day and that you all remembered to put the clocks back!

DH is threatening C.....m.s shopping next week...YUK, followed by a reward of trip in the majic bus for the weekend, I am dreading both! Will inform the dogs that they have to be on their very best behavour or NO GO!
Love and cuddles to everyone, dashing off for a shower we are out for dinner this evening, so I have to shift it!!
