Elaine - thanks for the sympathetic words. I'm sorry if my rant conjured up sad memories for you. I shall try and take it all in my stride, although the last time I entered the kitchen, the mess was even worse! I had to find my way to the oven because I had made bread earlier and it needed to be baked. He's got all the windows open and it's so cold in there, too.
I know how you feel about not having enough wool, too. It's so annoying because you just can't tell how much you are going to need. I love my stash but I find it really unsettling having to use it! I really need to buy about ten balls of each colour but the budget won't run to that!
Well, I'm just waiting for the oven to beep to tell me the bread is ready, then I'll have to find somewhere to put it while it cools.

Hi Kathy, not sad memories, I was actually sitting here chuckling about it. His face was a picture when I did the `I told you so ` bit:rotfl:.
I just wish that wool was all the same. Obviously it depends how thick the yarn is, then the weight will be x amount but the length will be something else compared to thinner stuff. I am NOT about to start unravelling balls of wool to see how long they are and anyway the old patterns don`t tell you how much length you need, just the weight. Oh well, back to the drawing board.
Hope the bread is OK and doesn`t have an extra `dusting` on top :rotfl:.

Hi ladies - sorry have been missing for a few days - I dont know whether anyone had missed it but Lou at Loving Hands posted the winter challenge a bit earlier as she was going into hospital - i do hope she is ok I saw how worried she was about her stay in hospital - did not seem as if hospital were that sympathetic either!
shezmit - Im sure life is so tough - take really good care - what is the tattoo you have had done? (or is that too much of a personal question) - still thinking of you and your family xxxx
ISOM - good to see you home - i did chuckle about your ample chest being oggled! - hope the bottom is not too bruised xxx
kathy - oh you can grumble to us as much as you like you know thats why we are here - why is it men have a fascination with sanding - i can remember a friend hours off giving birth and hubby decided to sand the hall, stairs and landing - not a good idea and she went mad - he said it was pregnancy hormones - i think not! - hang on in there - we are all thinking of you xxx
psso - nice to hear from you - what a "beep" running out of wool - I cant get my head round wool length/weight xxx
bugstunny/may - keep up the improvement - but dont rush yourself - glad you have been allowed your wool - thinking of you xxx
Im probably not going to be around much in the next few weeks - I didnt want to say - as i was too embarressed to tell you - but we are moving again!!!!! - we have been given the chance of a really long term rental with a work colleague of DH's where we can be left to our own devices (iykwim!) and its soo much cheaper - I just hope it will be ok - Im not looking forward to the move will be ok once im there but the last people have just left and its been left in a terrible state - so we now have to think about doing some decorating after all - the owner is doing all the repairs needed - tiles off walls and floor - they even took all the light bulbs ! they have broken all the blinds - pulled the curtain rails from the walls etc - the owner is on a bit of a time limit as we have to be out of here and moved in next week and he works full time so we are trying to help where we can
The good thing is that we have been able to get DS in another school as its in the next village - he went for the afternoon yesterday and as a lot of you will know - he has not had a good school life for a few years - well last night he was a different child really really happy saying the school looks great - he has made a friend already and he is excited - so fingers crossed !!!!
Had better get on - DH is watching the F1 qualifying i recorded for him but im sure once it is finished he will want to get on - i dont have a great deal of energy at the best of times how am i going to manage this :rotfl::eek::rotfl::eek:

Afternoon all,
OH has been dispatched to the shop with the girls to get them a comic each with some of the money Mum gave them for spends this morning, so I thought I'd come in here for a look see.
Toots - Thank you so muchmine arrived this morning its lovely, glad you liked yours, must get my patterns out for a look through x
kathy - I hope he gets it done soon for you, theres nothing worse than dust it gets everywhere and takes ages to clean up. Saw on TV last night the new Pier at Weston-Super-Mare looks very impressive,
Thanks chalky it arrived yesterday and I just had to try it out so got the two colours and made a start, nearly threw it across the room a couple of times:mad: but, and dont ask me how, suddenly it worked weird or what, dont know if I've got 1 or 2 twists in it though, bit difficult to tell while its still in progress.
Bugstunny - thanks for keeping us up to date with your Mum, we really miss her on here.Glad to hear she has been doing wooly stuff
Shelley sending (((hugs))) for you
ISOM - welcome back glad you enjoyed yourself

Good morning everyone, hope you're all well. Good news on finishing ISOM, any pictures?
f1 how exciting, moving to somewhere you can do up to your own taste, and sounds much better for DS too, result! What sort of style are you going to do? I've been doing shabby chic gradually for a few years (if it sits still long enough I'll paint it) the trouble is not everyone gets the idea.
mioliere hang on in there, it will be wonderful when it's finished. Your DH sounds as if he's a perfectionsist, and you might not think so now but you're very lucky over that, believe me.
psso amazing sometimes how wool just decides, all by itself, that it's going to run out. I've even tried weighing into two separate balls and it still does it. Has a mind of it's own.
Pippa hope you all had a lovely pizza party.
Love to everyone. xxx0 -

Pizza Party went really well thanks Kinsey the kids loved it, I think it has something to do with being allowed to pick it up and no knife and forkhad an assortment of cakes to finish off with which went down very well
