Happy Birthday Willow -- Hope its sunny with you -- gorgeous here-- It's been a beautiful Autumn.
Well had a text from DD2 at silly o'clock!! And Imean silly o'Clock and she has a trial today for a job in promotions for a bar called Cheeky Monkeys and she has to dress up !! So no change there then -- I wonder if it will be a carrot!!
We have got visitors coming for a couple of days so will probably be bus,y and they are the golfing friends ( yawn!!) so don't appreciate crafty or woolly things at all !!!!
I will just quietly carry on hooking in the background!
So I must get on and wave the duster about etc!!
Love and the gentlest thoughts to all

Happy Birthday, Willow! 18, eh? I won't tell you how long ago I was 18 but it was an age I really enjoyed. Have a great day! :bdaycake:
Chalky - golf is one game I just can't understand. As they say, it's a good walk spoiled! You just carry on hooking; that's far more worthwhile! I hope DS2's trial job goes well!
Well, I don't know about your area, Jean, but we have fuel in our filling stations here, according to one of the neighbours! We don't need any for a while, so I haven't bothered to suss it out - our need for it is not as great as others who have more important errands to run like the school run. We have everything we need for now.
We have no sign of any riots or things here but I suppose that's because it's rural - the cities are probably having more trouble. Our nearest is Niort and I haven't heard of any problems there. I do wonder how it will all be settled, though, because no-one looks like giving in, do they?
Anyway, I have some work to do so I'd better get on with that before lunch.
(((Hugs))) to Shelley.

Dear HOVERING HOOKER, know what you mean about the golf folks visiting, you just carry on regardless with the wooly wonders. Willow, yes please to the cake - any flavour you like I will manage to eat it.
Back after lunch then, you all be good and have a cuddle or three from me

Hi everyone, hope you are all fine and dandy.
Well, I opened the curtains this morning and it was snowing
It`s gonna be a looooooong winter if this is the start of it. Weather forecaster said there would maybe be snow on the hills - but we`re nowhere near the hills !!!
Had DS at rehab class doing his exercises again. Seems to be going to plan and he`s hoping to get back to work soon.
Little J is having his second `induction`visit at nursery today. Staying without mum for an hour and a half. Don`t imagine there will be any problems as he`s such a happy wee chap. DD goes back to work on 1st Nov so a new routine to cope with again.
Woolly stuff has been happening in fits and starts here lately depending if it`s a good day or a bad one and whether I can sleep or not. Amazing what I can get through in the wee sma` hours. I just plug in my earphones and listen to someone telling me a story while I knit. Not keen on the audiobook I started last night though, the person reading it has a really annoying voice so I think I will be having a trip to the library to return it and get something else.
Right, big hugs for those in need of comfort and Welcome and Happy Birthday to Willow as well. My youngest DD is 18 as well but shows absolutely no inclination towards wooly stuff at all, so well done you. Carry on practicing on the squares for kitty blankets and you`ll be doing more complicated things before you know it. Anything you need help with just shout and someone will come along and help.
See you later.

Hello,
I hope I've posted this in the right spot.
Does anyone have any current links to projects knitting boobs for mastectomy patients?
I'm getting just confident enough in my knitting that I want to venture into things other than endless scarves, blankets and cowls :rotfl: and I'd really like to do something for these women to help them feel better about their bodies. I also know my friends would love to help out and I want to enthuse them by showing them a site specifically for a charity collecting knitted mastectomy boobs rather than breastfeeding ones.0 -
