Morning all, been lurking and had to pop in to say

Shezmit - I`m so sorry to read about your Mum. She put up a fight didn`t she and you had some memorable times with her while she was well enough to enjoy them. Your whole family will be devastated so huge hugs to all of you. Take care of yourself and don`t bottle up your feelings, it`s not good for you.
You`ll miss her every day and the pain you feel will never really go away, but it will get easier to bear in time.

Bugstunny, I hope your mum is feeling a little better, we really miss her and hope for the best for her. Thanks for letting us know how she is, love and hugs to you all, and hope to see her back soon.
Shelley, I’m so sorry to hear your sad news, sending prayers and loving thoughts for you and your family.
ISOM, hope you’re having a wonderful time in Italy.
Tooti, sorry I missed your birthday, hope the Chinese was delicious.
Willow, welcome, hope you enjoy it here.

Had a lovely time with family at the weekend and now got to get to grips with tidying the garden in between a couple of charity knitting patterns I’m trying out. Managed to get my lappie fixed again, but think I need a new one soon.
Lots of love and hugs to everyone

    Hi everyone.

    Shelley - thinking of you.

Bugstunny - hope Maytaurus is making good progress.

Chalky - have a lovely time!

Mrs Twins - the bonfire blankets are stunning! Such lovely colours and beautifully put together as usual!

Linedancerann - good to hear from you. I hope you are well and that you had a good time away.

Pippa - welcome back to you!

Well, I'm supposed to be working on the PC this afternoon (in between washing out buckets of plaster!) but I've taken five minutes off to pop in here. All the kitchen units are in place but I can't use the kitchen properly because the units are now all covered in dust sheets while DH plasters the walls and ceiling. He had covered so much up that it was almost impossible to find anything apart from the toaster, the bread, and some Marmite - so that was lunch today! Mind you, I love Marmite and thinks it makes a great lunch on toast!

Anyway, I'm hoping he will get the kitchen end of the room finished quickly then at least I can cook properly when he's doing the dining end.

After some lovely sunny days (once the temperatures have risen about freezing) today is really dull and cloudy. I've put the washing out on the line but I don't think it's doing anything constructive so I will bring it back in and finish it off on the clothes horse, I think.

Will pop back later when I'm on my next 'break'!

  • Just popped in quick to catch up with the postings, took ages in the shops today ...shelves in supermarkets looking a wee bit empty, still we managed to get loads of dog food so if the worst comes to the worst we can have cake made out of that! Didn't even go near the fuel pumps as there were signs out saying they had none....all three outlets in our nearest town, not going to go trawling around for it either. Will just stay put and wait for it all to finish and blow over. Is till have the cows so plenty of milk, chooks and eggs, that's the spirit eh. Sunny Brittany today but a bit parky now the night has arrived. Off to sit in a comfy chair and do some more slipper/socks - promise I will kill this addition shortly, why do I get into these things, hedgies, socks, can't seem to just make one or two of anything!!! Answers on a post please.

    Hi Jean

Yes, the pumps are dry here; luckily we both filled up on Saturday and I did a top-up shop of basic essentials yesterday (there was still plenty of stuff in my usual shopS and no-one seemed to be panic-buying, but that may well have changed by this morning!), and I doubled up on things like milk, coffee, bread flour, yeast, all-important loo-rolls, and so on, so I think we'll survive until it all settles down. Hope you do, too!

    Have a good night, everyone.
