We have just put the last 2 visitors on the coach and now the " clear up " begins. But the weekend was so perfect that I will take my time and add some recovery time as well.

Hi everyone - hope you are all well.

I'll do the update a bit later on today.

Chalky and Jean - your weekends sound as if they went brilliantly well, so well done, especially after all the hard work you had both put it during the previous week! I hope you are both resting up a bit now? Oops, sorry - Jean, didn't sound like you had much rest, what with that nasty water leak and, you've got it - it's a real pain that the shops close over the lunchtime, isn't it? It took me ages to get used to that! And it still makes me cross! Just think of all the business they lose out on?

Anyway, I had some urgent online work to get on with so I was on the computer from about 9 to 12 last night, so no time for any crochet at all, which was frustrating because I could see my wool and hook from where I was sitting, and I was longing to get on with it! The other downside to working late is that I went to bed when I had finished and hadn't really wound down enough for sleep, so I was tired but awake for what seemed like ages. Hopefully, I'll have a more 'normal' evening tonight!

The weather here is lovely during the day but, oh, so very cold late at night and in the early mornings. It's quite confusing and you end up dressing for winter only to have to change into summer stuff by midday!

Well, I have a bit of paperwork to sort out then I need to go out and post some letters and then, maybe, I'll get a bit of spare time this afternoon. DH is supposed to be working on the kitchen but has been distracted and is doing windowsills now. I shall be having a word with him if he keeps doing this, especially when it comes to the kitchen - we still have to eat! Anyway, it's an excuse to go out for a meal, I suppose, but not very MSE!

Hope you all have a good day.

    Hi Everyone!
Thank you Pol for the gorgeous Jan Eaton Square received yesterday.

Thank you to everyone who has taken part in our Challenges over the year.
They are ending tomorrow for the year. We still have the Jan Eaton one running though.
The Challenges will be starting up hopefully next year.
Of course if you still want to send me squares they will be gratefully received.
Our Challenges are ending for the year because a lot of our Ladies are making things now for
Christmas and I dont want to get in the way of anyone.
Thank you to every one that has sent me Squares!

Good morning all - well its very quiet here ...

but I thought i would just "lurk" and then I see ....
Maytaurus - you have found our bus - well done - its fantastic - may be a little smaller than we will need - wont need heating we will keep each other warm tee hee - hope you are well may - the doll is great - probably beyond me hmmmmm xxxx

I started a pair of those bootees pattern given to us by chalky - I love them - I started with the ribbed top one first - I brought one ball of sirdar snuggly from Kemps in my last order and i just cant stop feeling it - its cream with little flecks of pale orange and blue in it - went back on to kemps to buy more but it does not appear she has any - maybe thats why it was in the bargain section.

I decided yesterday that I would try and subscribe to Womens weekly knitting and crocheting - well you would never believe it - I rang the subscription line - they said there was no such magazine - so i said well im holding one in my hand and its in your advert !!!!!!!!!
Anyway cut a long story short got through to womens weekly and the lady in the production office has a back April issue she is sending me and there was one out yesterday so will wait a week and call back issues - they dont seem to sell it around here anymore (unless its so popular it sells out quickly before DH can go and get it?) - but whilst looking through the web trying to find a Back Issue Company I stumbled across someone selling an old copy for .... wait for it ..... 9.99 ??????? it is 3.50 normally

Anyway got to get on - hairdresser coming for a shear and dip shortly - cant wait to get this bearskin off i can tell you tee hee

Love to all - special thoughts and hugs to those low or poorlie

    Hello everyone,
maytaurus great bus, do you think the balls on top are stash hiders?

f1 I have some old copies of WW knitting mags if you'd like them.

A young friend has asked me to make some cardi's for her two lovely girls, so that's me happy. Doesn't take much does it.

Good morning to one and all
The bus looks perfect -- I don't mind which seat and I know lots of songs to sing en route ( mostly suitable for 4 year olds!)

Well we are just about bobbing up again. 86 year aunt that had stayed with us has gone home, its soooo peaceful. She is an absolute dear but lives on her own. So when there is someone to talk to she does so without stopping for breath!

A few ups and downs with the "do" -- It is beyond me that places can charge so much but deliver so little but at least Mum did not know. Letters are on the way though. What is the point in meeting an events manager before the do -- choosing tables with the best view, arranging to have a message in reception welcoming Mum. In reality there were 2 weddings on the same day -- Not one seat for the pre-dinner drinks. The barman wanted to serve the wine in tumblers. The tables were occupied, no welcome message and the toilets were a disgrace. And that's considered a prestigous hotel in Torquay!!!! The catering at home was just so much better but for 16 each time it made a lot of work.

Yesterday had a very tearful skype message from DD2 in Bali. A mass panic as passport was missing. She looked about 4 crying uncontrollably. Well you can just imagine --- 8 hours to the next flight to Singapore and then the connection to OZ --- I felt sick. They had looked everywhere, been to reception, tourist police etc. Well after calming them down we asked them to calmly go back and check again before contacting the consul. It had slipped down the lining of the backpack!!!!

So I am hoping things settle down now!
I will pop on some pictures of latest projects soon--- ddil is setting up an etsy shop linked to her blog so I am helping her get some stock. It just makes me realise why I knit for charity because as soon as you try and measure your time and effort in monetary terms it makes you realise how much you actually put into each item.

    Love to one and all
