I'm making a twiddlemuff for a patient with dementia. It uses a lot of yarn so it might be the only one I make .
Has anyone else made one and if so do you have any ideas for what to sew on. Also do you sew things on the inside or just the outside?
  • Posting the finished joint project well done everybody big squishy cuddles for Chalky who joined it all up together............

  • PippaS - you are getting stuck into IS hats nice and early - will make a note to catch you up - there again I could ask my Dear Wee Sister to do them and save me for other stuff. Ha ha

Hope you are all having a wonderful day (I know some don't have this as a holiday). I have sunshine which is a bit of a curse I need to do some serious weeding and can't be bothered, so its the knitting machine this afternoon for me.

    Afternoon all
So far today I have done not a lot.
I've sewn together 12 daisies I've crocheted to make into a daisy chain kit possibly to donate to school fete.
Then I've woven in the ends on the 3 bootees I've knitted so far for twins in a neighbours family. I've got 1 mor to knit then the 4 little circles to go on the outer ankles, will hopefully have them all complete by tonight.

Hope all are well and have nice weather.
    Hugs were needed

Had a busy week, fetching things for Dd - she does like to be organised in advance. Added buttons to all my little cardigans and labelled them with sizes either for Dd or selling - need to make some money as our savings are depleted thanks to the lovely holiday. I did buy a steam mop but that was with £10 I had won on geo lotto so only cost me £6 cash and saves my utter frustration at not being able to wring a mop out anymore :o:o Horrible flooring the Ll put down doesnt help.

Knitted some squares with g st border, slow but beautiful so will do more little by little and see how big a blanket I can make for myself ! I am using the beautiful yarn I was sent as it deserves to be used on something good. I tried to crochet it when I was way but it just wasnt right.

Dgs still struggling at school but as sweet as a button here this weekend. Time will tell what needs to be done for him - his Daddy is on the board of governors now so they wont be able to mess them around.

Ds having problems with his new house but hopefully things will be sorted soon - so frustrating.

Hugs to all my dear friends xx

Had a play and made these with some oddments over the weekend. DD3 was impressed and throught Id made flower girl head dresses for a wedding! They are actually 12 little crocheted flowers with slits in the stems so you can thread them daisychain style, 12 with stems 20 chains long is enough to fit as a child's headband. I'm hoping to get some more made to be sold at the school summer fete.
Have also made two more pairs of converse bootees.

Need to get down the post office today and post a package off.

Hugs to all and I hope You are well.

Haven't posted on here for ages - apologies! Life seems to be hectic at the moment. Just as I think I have a free day, something comes along and off I go at a different tangent! Thank goodness I am retired - don't know how I ever found time to work full-time!

Main priority over the last few days has been getting my garden ready for summer bedding planting. The ground is so dry I had to hose it for ages today before I could fork it over. Fish, blood and bone tomorrow and then the joyous task of spending over £100 in gardening vouchers!

Not much time for knitting or crochet at the moment but hopefully will get some squares crocheted for the Knit for Nepal appeal. They will take crochet squares too.

Update - 15 crochet squares for charity; 1 small twiddle blanket as sample for care home
