Love the daisies Mrs Moneypenny. They will look lovely on lots of things. Sure they will sell well at the summer fete.

azzabazza I think most of us wonder how we ever managed to fit in work once we have retired. Where do you take the knitted squares for Nepal?

Morning all, not been about much lately again.

Been trying to get the front garden sorted out. Why is it the only things which grow are the blimmin weeds ? Last couple of years I have bought fair sized perennial plants, not cheap, and they have all died bar one. Haven't had bad winters so can't blame that.

Anyway, got the three beds weeded, planted some self seeded plants from round the back into the middle bed at the weekend. Then I planted some fuchsias in the planters by the front door and in the redundant water feature. Bit got broken but looks fine with plants in.
Then some more geraniums from round the back with some saxifrage went in the other two beds and now only have some pansies to shove in. Getting there slowly but surely.

Not much crafty stuff happening but I did get my rainbow blanket for J finished, just have to sew in the ends.
Some squares for Nepal may be next on the cards, nice and quick and easy.

Isn't Sam's blanket just fantastic ? Well done Chalky getting it all together.

Pleased to see everyone seems to be jogging along nicely, hope it continues.
Enjoy your cuddles with Alfie Mrs mp :)

Off for breakfast then play with some pansies I think.

    Morning all,
Hope everyone is well. Hugs to all that want one, because you are all worst it.
Just took two pairs of converse bootees over to neighbour having made icord laces this morning.
Might use up a half ball that's left over from something to make a few squares for the Nepal appeals if I get them done I'll be asking for an addy to post them to.
Weather looking ok here a bit overcast but nothing to grumble about.
The gorgeous Alife will be cuddled tomorrow, he's already doing little smiles and giggles, it's so funny he starts to smile and it turns into a lovely little Elvis lip curl.

update 19 pairs mittens. 1 square.

I have not knitted all those in a week over the last few weeks. I am knitting a dinosaur for DGS he will be two at the end of the month. I think it is an English pattern translated into American not very well which means it is neither and very difficult to follow. When I get stuck I make a mitten for a change.
  • Just updated the spready - thank you ladies for your totals.
Love those little flowers Mrs M. Ginnyknit how are you getting on with the steam mop - I love mine to bits but it cost a bit more than yours - what a bargain. Nursmaggie you are really churning out those mittens, hope the dinosaur gets finished in time too.
Loves and cuddles to you all xx

Im loving my steam mop, best thing I hve bought since my halogen oven - oh wait its the only thing I have bought besides yarn since my halogen :rotfl:

I am struggling today with pain in my left hand which is now going up my arm, its very sensitive to the touch and Im baffled. I suppose its my arthur-itis :D but am keeping my eye on it.

Dd rang me earlier she has bought one of those furry rocking horses from a Cs and it needs a bit of TLC - 'Mum can you pick it up for me tomorrow - its in your name'

Mrs Mp I love the idea of Alfie and his lip curl :rotfl:

Ginny I hope the pain in your hand eases soon
    Hope everyone is well
Nothin like a deadline to get you motivated with your stash busting is there LOL. A friend on the same board of govs as me is organising a fund raiser for cancer at the end of the month, I'm seeing her Dh tonight at a meeting so got it into my head last Friday I could crochet a blanket as a raffle prize, I've done 25 squares and am now in the process of edging them all in the same colour before putting them together and edging all round. Don't know what possessed me to think I could get it finished by tonight but at least I've got the main part done, so it will def be finished by the time the event comes round. I think if I sit still any longer I'll probs end up with DVT so I'm going to have a break from stitching for the rest of the day and get other stuff done as apart from sleep I don't think I've moved much since Saturday night as all I've done is crochet!
