    Morning all
Wet and cold here and very miserable looking, I had planned to go out and get the garden straight after the winter but...I suppose I could do some housework...nah I'll just have do something woolly wise, such a chore but I reckon I'll cope :rotfl:

chalky - hope all is going to plan, have a wonderful time and please pass our cuddles on to William x
mrs-m - baby will be here before you know it, will he/she be your first grandchild?
jean - me too I love both colour packs the coast and the cosy just can't make my mind up which to choose...leaning toward the coast it reminds me of happy holidays down Weymouth and Portland, OH's aunt was a Weymouth girl and he spent many summers there, so maybe...
kathy - yes I will join and I know it's silly but I am quite nervous :o

I have been working on the circle in a square blanket ended up with 126 x 4" squares all joined and now working on the edging, hopefully it will be finished today then I can clear the decks ready to start on the new yarn...

Came back from Spain with a cold OH is worse than me, reckon it was the air-con on the plane plus the chap in one of the seats behind us was coughing and spluttering most of the way back

I suppose I ought to get the Lunch started a quick one today cottage pie,I dont feel like faffin about with a full roast.

    Love to you all
    Annie xx

Has been raining here since yesterday and does not look like stopping. Will have to bite the bullet and get frogging those cardigans. They are too nice to waste. The forecast for the week is for rain.

Pippa.S My first thought was cottage pie is a lot of work but maybe you do not put lots of root veg in like I do. A roast, it's just a case of putting things in the oven at the right time. Not sure what we will have.
  • It's a roast here and DH is doing it - see he does love me tons enough to get stuck in - I will off course need to be on hand to fetch things for him but that is a doddle in my mind.

NURSEMAGGIE - is it your intention to re-do the cardigans? or something different? We are due sunshine on Wednesday and I already have a list of outside jobs ready and waiting, so will be running around like a mad thing.
    UPDATE

    6 SQUARES

I am far to taken up with the granny ripple blanket, have made a note to myself to get it done quickly and get back to some proper craftyness.
Loads of Love to you all,

PippaS good to see you made it to f/b, what games are you playing? Perhaps I could challenge you to a word game or two - keeps my hand in with the Eengrish langmadge! he he

Its so exciting Mrs MP and a whole new world with a grandbaby. I was at the birth with Dgs and it was quite the most terrible yet amazing thing ever. I was the first person he saw and I like to think thats why we have such a bond. xx

Oh I definitely intend to re-knit them smaller. Going to have to do the smallest size. My tension is right it just does not come out the right size. I am finding this happens a lot with American sizes. Children's are way too small and adults are way too big.

    Me again :)

Feeling very pleased with myself after joining fb...just hope I don't make a hash of it :o

mrs-m - you sound like I was when I was about to become a first time grandparent, there is no feeling like it when you hold baby in your arms :happyloveas our friends on here will tell you
nursemaggie - yes we like lots of veg in as well, but not made today, I made 3 a few days before we went away and froze them, its OH's favourite since his cancer as he still has problems swallowing from time to time and cottage pie goes down easily.
jean - Yes I don't mind giving it a go I've not played any word games except for scrabout, I like card games like spider solitaire, had a bash at candy crush thought I'd see what all the fuss was about...soon got fed up with that...now trying Pearl's Peril, its a fb game so I played on OH's acc but not any more now I've taken the plunge and joined up :)

OH has just gone upstairs he said I am too noisy...I keep sneezing very loudly!!!...so with him coughing and me sneezing our house is not a very healthy place to be at the mo...just got to get rid of these colds before next weekend as we are off to West Sussex to see the girls...
oooo I can't wait we are both so excited, have a box full of all sorts of things for them, and of course I will take some woolly stuff with me some for them too as they are both keen on knitting and looming.

well I better go get a coffee made then settle down for a while in front of the TV Poldark is on tonight, really enjoying watching it,
TTFN enjoy your evenings all of you Love Annie xx

On my last full day of granddaughter sitting before I flyh home tomorrow. Oh my goodness, how I am going to miss my wee treasure.

Managed to do some knitting in the evenings although I had to frog the first patterned border of the shawl I am knitting through lack of concentration. However, back to where I was and a few more rows too.

I am hoping to do some more crochet squares when I get home but have a grandson's birthday and visits to elderly sick parents to deal with on Thursday.

Very wild weather here in Ireland - going to get blown home to Scotland tomorrow I think!

Hope you are all well x

It was very windy here as well overnight but it seems to have blown the rain clouds away.
Still very blowy so a load of washing is just about to go out.
Finished the back of the matinee and am half way up one front, it knits up as a T shape with the sleeves already attached which I hadn't realised till I got to armhole shaping and met with in increase LOL

    Hope all are well
