Sorry no update from me.
Faaaar too busy with my granny blanket. On stripe 38 so more than half way. Trouble is I keep thinking of other things I should be doing. Started a hedgie last night just for a change. Trying different yarn, think it will be ok.
Also did a Jean Greenhowe Easter chick prototype. It's fine, but DD bought a box of Kinder eggs (on special offer at Costco) and they are a bit bigger than the other chocolate eggs, so I'll have to adapt the pattern a wee bit.
Got two weeks to do enough for the birthday party bags so I'll have to get a wiggle on.
Hope everyone is well and poorlies are on the mend. (((Hugs))) if required.Fully paid up member of S.A.B.L.E.

At the beginning of this month I was tempted to spend some dosh, I am always impressed by the crochet exploits of Attic24 http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/granny-stripe.html so ordered this pack to do a granny stripe blanket it arrived within 10 days which for France is bloomin brilliant. Up to 2Kilos is only 3.99 postage so I couldn't leave the stuff in their warehouse now could I?

So went and looked up her destructions and then decided that I wanted something for a single bed instead - so this pic below is me on colour change 34 (right behind you Elaine - she was also tempted - we really are awful). It is 40'' (1 metre) wide and I intend going till I have used up most of the yarn I am loving doing it and have my eye on my next lot! Only managing to do squares in between times oh and snowpeeps on the KM - well I can't leave them till the tail end of the year.DSC02486 by Jeangenie21, on Flickr
It's such a happy lot of colours I am having a wonderful time picking out what colour to use next working my way round my yarn basket trying not to be too picky. The Hooligan Wooligan – age 9¾

Your blanket is lovely Roamin very tempted by the yarn.
Going to have to frog both my cardigans they are absolutely enormous I could get two of me in them. Busy making preemi jackets to put off having to unstitch my sewing up. I always have great difficulty in finding where the thread is. Good job they are too big rather than too small as would not have enough yarn to sew up.
update 5 preemi jackets and 4 hats.0 -

Busy, busy, busy getting ready to fly to Ireland this evening. What is it about my DH? Normally he is very good and reasonably self-sufficient. This morning he has been going round like a helpless wee laddie because I am going away!!! Bite my tongue time!
Don't like the new forum layout - have reverted to the old layout.
Best wishes to all xx0 -
Hi, everyone. I must say, I love the new format! No doubt, it will take a bit of getting used to, but it looks nice and tidy, I think!
That bag of wool looks gorgeous, Jean; I will be putting in my own order soon, especially as the postage is so good all the way to France. Your blanket is looking lovely.
Azzabazza - have a great time; I am sure your husband will survive without you.
Mrs Moneypenny - that baby must be almost ready to join you? Good luck when he or she decides it's time!
Nursemaggie - what a shame about the cardigans. You could try the pattern on smaller needles, perhaps; that's if you want to make the same ones again, which can be a bit disheartening, I know.
Well, here in the south of France it's raining again. Honestly, if this had been a proper holiday instead of work for my DH and a visit to his brother, I would have been sorely disappointed with the weather and with the horrible little holiday home we are staying in. The owners have asked for our suggestions on how it can be improved! 'How long and how much money have they got?' was my first comment!
