We are now lengthening the LIST.....You know the one you write as you prepare to leave. As fast as you cross things off new things appear at the bottom
All well here and the bedding in the washing machine. Ha ha,I always keep a couple of pairs of old ( chewing gum ) like Knicks and then the last couple if days before a holiday I wear them and throw them away so there is no washing left. My Mum always made us wear paper knickers the last day of two before a holiday and I hated them. But,it has obviously stuck!!
Lots of love to one and all ...xxxxxTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
CHALKY - that bit about the knicker pants was perhaps just a step too far for me! What about going commando instead??? You have a terrific trip.

Paper knickers, eh? Do they still make them? I still keep a pair of clean knickers in my handbag, something my Mum made us do when we were becoming young ladies, if you get my drift! As I went through the change twelve years ago, I really shouldn't worry any more, but old habits die hard, don't they?
Linda, I hope you have the most wonderful time with William, and a safe trip getting there.
The sun is beaming here (still in the south of France until the weekend); it's the first time the sun has really shone here, so I will be up on the roof terrace taking photos later.
I'm just posting to give you all a little update on my grandson, Sam, the boy all those lovely squares are being stitched with love for. The blanket so far is looking amazing, and I love all the blues! He is doing very well so far, and the doctors are really pleased with his progress. It seems that for the foreseeable future, he will have eight weeks of light treatment, followed by a period of more intense treatment. The idea is to give him time to recover from the intense chemo sessions, and to feel well enough to enjoy life during the eight week periods, and we are all so grateful that he is not going to be undergoing intense treatment all the time. It means that he can look forward to the better weeks which will give the whole family something positive to focus on. We will coincide our next visit for when he is feeling better. There is still the ongoing worry about keeping him free from infection, but they managed to prevent him getting the horrible cold that his dad and sister had recently, so they are getting to grips with it all, although it must have been very hard not daring to kiss or cuddle him. He is happy and keeping himself busy, which is wonderful, and we are all feeling so blessed that he has the particular variant of the illness that he has, that he and the family are coping so well with it all so far, and that the NHS is doing such an amazing job. The fact that he is at home and only going in as a day patient for chemo is a real bonus, and is making a huge difference.
Thanks to you all for caring, and for those gorgeous squares, and to Chalky for putting them all together so beautifully.
