Hubby not doing to well at the moment, very weak and watery so Im keeping busy -too busy tbh. Finally sold 2 items on my fb page so thats good. Trying to make Christmas things but Dgs invited himself for the night - who am I to refuse cuddles. He arrived at 7pm already in his Pj's, had a bowl of fruit and a cuddle then got his cushion nd a blanket, got on the floor and fell asleep :T so cute. So now I can get on with my sewing.

  • Been trying for days to find time to get onto the forum - no excuse I know but I am sorry I am missing all the things that are going on.

Quick update, have managed to knit a few more hats for the mission to seafarers and I have finally cracked the machine pattern for the little bootees/socks for Haiti
couple of pics below - will try and get a total for hats for the weekend (they were originally going to be 1 hat a day all the way through September - but that daftie I am married to fell out the tree half way through the month and all crafting came to a grinding hault).

    hope all are well
special healing and get well vibes to all the poorly other half we seem to have at the mo. mine managed to bruise his ribs over 3 weeks ago while wrestling with a friend. so he hasnt been able to do any exercise since which is really annoying him. It was proper wrestling at their martial arts club not a bit of a falling out that got out of hand

Evening all, not much happening here apart from rain, wind, cold, rain, wind etc etc.
Been stuck inside for days so going a bit stir crazy. Dd and little J picked me up to go shopping - wow, my favourite pastime - not!!

Twas food shopping at the huge supermarket, groan I hate huge s'markets, but got some odds n ends and bought myself a new pair of slippers. How much excitement can you get in one day.?

Sorry, rant over. Just having a few down days, but have told Edna to push off she's not welcome here.

Been cracking on using up the wool I accidentally bought. 4 chunky hats, 1 hat and matching neckwarmer also in chunky, 1 wide neckwarmer in pompom yarn and a long narrow scarf in pompoms as well.
Sewing up hedgehogs and crocheting multi coloured squares for the next blanket in between times.

Started a blanket buddy using a lovely soft yarn called Vesper. Bit like snowflake but much cheaper.

Off to fill my hottie and have an early night. Home alone, so might as well.
    House is soooo quiet.:(

3 pairs bootees/socks (going to Haiti with my neighbour)

sorry I am missing in action, I really do miss you all, but pop in and read the postings as often as I can. Dh is still confined to bed and there just aren't enough hours in the day for me to get on top of everything, I am not complaining just trying to keep ahead for the time being. Loads of love and hugs and positive thoughts to you all

Sorry I have been MIA too. Busy week and two hospital appointments some distance away. Also have to admit been reminiscing on a new thread.

Knitting like mad now to get Christmas presents finished then I will get on with some charity stuff in a couple of weeks.

Good morning one and all and a huge spoonful of sugar tucked in to sweeten your day.
Well the house is quiet, the washing machines whirring and the beds are stripped !

We now have some quiet, peaceful days until we go back to the UK on the 2nd December.

I have another blanket in the go for a friend here but apart from that I want to knit a few more Premmie hats for the local hospital here.

I hope everybody who seems to have their hands overflowing some chance of a break from trials and tribulations.
    Lots of love Linda

It only seems like a couple of days since your visitors were arriving Chalky, where does time go?? Sending hugs to you from here.

Off for a quick trip to Abhakan craft shop :j and a cuppa with a friend whilst hubby snoozes. Its a long time since I actually had some me time so well overdue although Manchester city centre is a bit daunting for me nowadays. Luckily I am not heading for the retail chaos but the crafty/ vintage area.

Hope all are well and warm and coping with heavy loads xx
